Anyone like We Made God? I'm always late to the party and just discovered them lol. They're pretty good.
|
Never heard of them.
Murat: I'm in there and you're not. |
The best way I can describe it is either Post Rock with Post Metal tendencies or Post Metal with Post Rock tendencies haha. Either way it's good stuff, you should check them out when you have a chance/if you want to Mike.

I will, thanks :)

new We Made God is very good, i like it and my fellas new Grails is just awesome, AWESOME. i can't stop listening to it for the past few days new Long Distance calling is also nice one, not outstanding, but it serve the purpose, no new ideas there, but anyway worth listening and i would like to recommend to you guys new Grayceon, it's fantastic, there are no words to describe the beauty of that record, everyone should hear it. |
new LDC is shit, I'm sorry but it's just a really boring album that goes nowhere.
New Grails might be one of their 3 best records actually, and that's saying A LOT. |
its definitely up there, hesitant to say its their best since its still new, glad i haven't bothered with LDC now
|
You guys know Coma Cluster? Their Extrasolar EP is pretty good. Very atmospheric stuff. I'm on my first listen now.
|

|

|
checked out this band toundra today. very polished post metal. they do some interesting upbeat acoustic stuff. they're pretty upbeat in general, which is a nice change of pace. they're like if an if these trees could talk-type band was metal.
|
sounds interesting
and they are spanish, that's a plus and they are ex members from one of the best hardcore bands from spain, nacen de las cenizas definitely getting that shit :D |
it's really good. nothing groundbreaking or anything but very polished like i said, and the upbeat feeling is certainly refreshing.
|
I can't really get into Grails. I want to, I just can't :/

Hello guys!
I'm new to the Forum, so I just stumbled across this. I'm happy to see that there's such a big thread about Post-Rock, as it's one of my favourite genres of music :D I haven't read the whole thread (204 pages!!), but there's one observation I'd like to confirm with you guys: Is it possible that Post-Rock in general is experiencing a rise in popularity these days? At least here in Frankfurt, Germany, I have heard people talking about a "Post-Rock-Trend", there's one local Post-Rock Band right at the top of the charts of a regional rock-community and the Post-Rock-Concerts I visit are always well populated. I've seen Tortoise and "Daturah", a local band. Too bad I missed out on Mogwai last sunday because of illness :( So long, JTP |
