damn, I didn't even know Jeru was still around. |
Yeah I was pretty surprised too.
I'm really digging AmpLive's Radiohead remix album. Really good stuff. |
im a huge fan of del, hieroglyphics, sage francis, atmosphere, swollen members, cunninlynguists, hilltop hoods, and stuff like that
|
I'm huge into Lil' Wayne right now. He just clicked with me.

Murs - Happy Pillz (Feat. Aesop Rock)
|
Has anyone heard "Walk Like a Man" by Murs? It's ****ing amazing. 3:16 is the ****, I've never heard anyone in here talk about it either it seems like you guys would enjoy it a-lot.
|
Yeah, I love Murs.
The stuff he did with Slug rules (Felt), but for his albums I really love The End of the Beginning. |
Y Society - Travel At Your Own Pace (2007)
^ sounds like early 90's track: this advice http://www.sendspace.com/file/ynta5n sorry if this has already been discussed and flogged on this forum but i just found this now |
anyone listen to O.C.?
I like him...good stuff |
Yes. Word...Life rules and "Time's Up" is one of my favorite songs ever
|
Give me a reason to go get Lifestyles Ov Da Poor And Dangerous or whatever the title is. People seem to be whoring it on the net lately but I've never once heard it mentioned outside RYM or Last.fm, which is odd for a hip-hop album.

just listen to a few tracks and decide for yourself...:p |
I never do that. It's the full album or nothing. Call me crazy, but I'm OCD like that.
|
Hmm...but you can hear snippets and judge can't you?

The production lacks variation and is a bit bland at times but it's definitely worth hearing. He's a great rapper. |
because big l is crazy! "i'm so ahead of my time my parents haven't met yet" "ask beavis i get nothing butthead"
|
Breakin into cribs with a crowbar, man I wasn't poor I was po'. I couldn't afford the o-r
One of the best |
Big L rules.
Couple good shows coming up. Going to see Atmosphere with Abstract Rude and then El-P with Dizzee Rascal and Busdriver. |
Dizzee Rascal is tight, El-P and Atmosphere are kinda eh.
|
My thoughts exactly^
|
Atmosphere was great initially but got less interesting with each album.
|
He's kind of a whiner
|
I like Slug a lot, but a lot of their albums aren't very solid, and Ant gets repetitive at times. More so on his Brother Ali stuff than Atmosphere.
|
He definitely has a style. His most inventive stuff I've heard was FELT. With Atmosphere my favourite is the Lucy Ford EPs with Godlovesugly in close second. Don't really care about anything else they've done.
|
Yeah but Abstract Rude will be at the Atmosphere show. And Busdriver will be at the El-P show.
Can't lose. Atmosphere are cool live, as well. They use a live band and change up the beats. |
I've never really been too into Atmosphere...idk why...I remember an album or two of his like a year ago...but nothing really sticks in my mind about him...
hmm |
Atmosphere was something I got into right when I started listening to underground hip hop so it's always held a soft spot for me.
