So it seems Jeru the Damaja is coming to Aus next month, which is seriously amazing.
sgrevs 03-27-2008 06:29 AM

Yeah I was pretty surprised too.

I'm really digging AmpLive's Radiohead remix album. Really good stuff.

abcdefg762001 03-27-2008 11:28 AM

im a huge fan of del, hieroglyphics, sage francis, atmosphere, swollen members, cunninlynguists, hilltop hoods, and stuff like that

Ghoul Hustler 03-27-2008 12:11 PM

I'm huge into Lil' Wayne right now. He just clicked with me.

Murs - Happy Pillz (Feat. Aesop Rock)

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 03-29-2008 11:43 AM

Has anyone heard "Walk Like a Man" by Murs? It's ****ing amazing. 3:16 is the ****, I've never heard anyone in here talk about it either it seems like you guys would enjoy it a-lot.

ATM 03-29-2008 01:10 PM

Yeah, I love Murs.

The stuff he did with Slug rules (Felt), but for his albums I really love The End of the Beginning.

anyone listen to O.C.?

I like him...good stuff

40 oz 2 freedom 04-01-2008 08:24 PM

Yes. Word...Life rules and "Time's Up" is one of my favorite songs ever

Iai 04-02-2008 05:28 AM

Give me a reason to go get Lifestyles Ov Da Poor And Dangerous or whatever the title is. People seem to be whoring it on the net lately but I've never once heard it mentioned outside RYM or Last.fm, which is odd for a hip-hop album.

just listen to a few tracks and decide for yourself...:p

Iai 04-02-2008 05:56 AM

I never do that. It's the full album or nothing. Call me crazy, but I'm OCD like that.

class 04-02-2008 06:02 AM

Hmm...but you can hear snippets and judge can't you?

It's pretty damn good. The production lacks variation and is a bit bland at times but it's definitely worth hearing. He's a great rapper.

pulseczar 04-02-2008 07:46 AM

because big l is crazy! "i'm so ahead of my time my parents haven't met yet" "ask beavis i get nothing butthead"

40 oz 2 freedom 04-02-2008 08:10 AM

Breakin into cribs with a crowbar, man I wasn't poor I was po'. I couldn't afford the o-r

One of the best

ATM 04-02-2008 06:05 PM

Big L rules.

Couple good shows coming up. Going to see Atmosphere with Abstract Rude and then El-P with Dizzee Rascal and Busdriver.

Correction 04-02-2008 06:14 PM

Dizzee Rascal is tight, El-P and Atmosphere are kinda eh.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-02-2008 08:01 PM

My thoughts exactly^

Tyler 04-02-2008 08:06 PM

Atmosphere was great initially but got less interesting with each album.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-02-2008 08:16 PM

He's kind of a whiner

pulseczar 04-02-2008 08:19 PM

I like Slug a lot, but a lot of their albums aren't very solid, and Ant gets repetitive at times. More so on his Brother Ali stuff than Atmosphere.

Tyler 04-02-2008 08:20 PM

He definitely has a style. His most inventive stuff I've heard was FELT. With Atmosphere my favourite is the Lucy Ford EPs with Godlovesugly in close second. Don't really care about anything else they've done.

ATM 04-02-2008 08:20 PM

Yeah but Abstract Rude will be at the Atmosphere show. And Busdriver will be at the El-P show.

Can't lose. Atmosphere are cool live, as well. They use a live band and change up the beats.

class 04-03-2008 08:01 AM

I've never really been too into Atmosphere...idk why...I remember an album or two of his like a year ago...but nothing really sticks in my mind about him...

hmm

ATM 04-03-2008 06:14 PM

Atmosphere was something I got into right when I started listening to underground hip hop so it's always held a soft spot for me.
