Yea, it's a pretty cool album.

You should here Gov't Mule's cover of Chameleon with The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and George Porter Jr. (I think). Bernie Worrel might be on it too, I forget.

Damn, I need to bring that album back to my mom's!

Gov't Mule's cover of Soulshine is key.

Badmoon 08-11-2005 10:01 PM

Well "Soulshine" was written by Warren Haynes, I believe. So it wouldn't exactly be a cover.
Have you noticed that the classic rock regulars seem to have come in waves?

1st wave: People that started the thread (b0nz0, RNR, Badmoon, DVG, i am miik, RockAndRoll)

2nd wave: People that helped get the thread along the way (myself, Lunch, JPJ, Livewired, Woodstock, Thickasabrick, Schyma, Creedence Clearwater, Paranoidd -when he posted here, now he's too cool :upset:-, Seafroggys, Illmatic, magicbus, Med... I guess. )

3rd wave: People that helped add a LOT more posts to the thread (Walrus, JonG, leppermessiah, pigsonthewing2, Canadian_Guy, robo2448, Jam2Me)

Sorry if I forgot anyone :(

Crap, CG is back again. :upset:

Leper 08-11-2005 10:27 PM

Anyone here listen to April Wine? They're a VERY under-appreciated canadian band from the late 70's.

BludgeonySteve 08-11-2005 10:33 PM

They're good. They get played to death on Canadian radio though, so i've heard too much of their most popular songs.

Illmatic 08-11-2005 10:38 PM
Crap, CG is back again. :upset:
CG types better than that.

Ya they really do. They have so many good songs though that I can't believe they're not more well-known outside of Canada.

Badmoon 08-11-2005 11:07 PM
I thought the Allmans did it
Warren Haynes was in the Allman Brothers.
