Meh, that's cool I guess. I still think he sucks. But then again, I'm more into listening to 2 Live Crew rhyme about poppin the p'ussy
I used to think the same, before I really listened to Ready To Die.

And hoochie mamas.

40 oz 2 freedom 01-10-2006 10:58 PM
Which mainstream rap do you like?
Lots of it.

My two favorite albums are Ready to Die and Illmatic, both pretty mainstream.
I'm a Dre fanboy
A lot of the classic hip-hop I like are fairly mainstream.
Outkast is verry talented, expecially in their older stuff like Southernplayalistic...., ATLiens, etc.
Eminem is also extremely talented as well, although I may not like him that much
I'm a sucker for good catchy "party hip-hop" too.

shane italian 01-10-2006 10:58 PM

And Changes is probably one of the best hip hop/rap singles ever put out. But that is just my feeble minded suburban point of view.

Lazybassplr56 01-10-2006 10:59 PM
Aesop Rock can dish out some pretty good flows. He still goes either way for me though.
**** I mean't Aesop Rock > Atmosphere, not Sage Francis. I got those mixed up.

Lazybassplr56 01-10-2006 10:59 PM

Anybody heard of Loot Pac?

And of course Jay-Z

I also like Ludacris, even though most here probably hate him.

Jay-Z is one of the most important people in hip-hop in the last 10 years easily

Ludacris is fun

NewKindofArmy03 01-10-2006 11:04 PM

Jay-Z feat. Eminem-Renegade is my jam.

shane italian 01-10-2006 11:04 PM

Also I thought I would add that LA is harder than NYC
Also I thought I would add that LA is harder than NYC
It's debatable, it's not like either of us would really know

NewKindofArmy03 01-10-2006 11:08 PM

That freestyle sucked. I don't get why he is so big.

shane italian 01-10-2006 11:08 PM
It's debatable, it's not like either of us would really know
I've been to NYC a fair shair of times, so I could make somewhat of a judgement.

And the fact that NYC is one of the safer cities and LA is one of the more dangerous ones kind of adds to the whole hard factor.

Oh and Sage Francis is an idiot and I hope a real rapper comes and beats his a'ss.

TYLER_SRSLY 01-10-2006 11:09 PM

I NEVER WANNA....EAT......MEAT....

Lazybassplr56 01-10-2006 11:11 PM

I feel bad for even bringing up his name. Never speak of Sage Francis on these boards ever again!!!!

TYLER_SRSLY 01-10-2006 11:12 PM

Lazybassplr56 01-10-2006 11:15 PM

Is Dangerdoom any good? I've heard the name but not the music.

shane italian 01-10-2006 11:16 PM

But the Roots > all the aforementioned.

TYLER_SRSLY 01-10-2006 11:17 PM

Deltron 3030 is great.

TakeWarning 01-10-2006 11:23 PM

Yeah Shai Hulud's version of Linoleum is pretty good.

shane italian 01-10-2006 11:24 PM

-TheGlassPrison- 01-10-2006 11:25 PM

Anyone else's forums just randomly become REALLY slow.
