Disc 1 of the Woodstock is done, but im going to sleep (i doubt im going to be able to fall asleep), so im going to start 2 and 3 and leave it overnight,
Awesome. Thanks for putting all this effort into uploading the Woodstock stuff. Sorry to hear about your guitar man, that sucks. Especially if you have to pay for the repairs. JPJ, I like the "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!" name:p |
JPJ, I like the "WHAT THE **** IS THIS!" name
Yea, there's no tracklist on the CD and the tracklist on their site only listed 3 songs for the third disc. I think it's just the end of Black Hearted Woman (which you didn't get), but it had to be put on the third disc because of the length of the drum solo in it. |
Hmm..since everyone was naming favorite Dylan albums....
I'm somewhere between The Freewheelin'.... and Bringing It all Back Home. |
OMG guys I got a new iPod Video, just in time for finals I shall cancel all plans for after school and get started on putting album covers, getting custom genres and rating songs. Ya, I'm the kind of kid who would spend a week doing those things.
Blood on the Tracks is head and heels above the rest from Dylan, its the only album I don't get bored with. |
My favorite song recently has been Tombstone Blues. Just can't stop listening to that. The lyrics are so random and nonsensical, and the song is so chaotic. I really love Bloomfied's guitarwork on it too.
I just heard Mister Blue Sky in a car commerical.
I've been really into Tombstone Blues a lot lately too. I usually listen to Highway 61 Revisited just about every day anyways, but lately I've found that I've been playing Tombstone Blues first before listening to the rest of the album. It's a fun song to sing along to..he's a little monotone in that song, a bit. I wouldn't want to hear Mister Blue Sky in a car commercial. I can think of a lot of car commercial songs that are better than Mister Blue Sky anyways. Hearing classic rock used in advertising can sometimes be very exhausting. |

I love Tombstone Blues, too. Dylan's lyrics are so bizare that you have to love them. As for my favorite album I'd definitly say Highway 61. Every song on it works perfectly for me. |
Personally, I prefer classic rock. I just love it. In my opinion better than rock right now, but most people will differ. But a band I do like for their guitar playing is The Shadows. And I like people like Eric Clapton, etc. Just love classical rock.

lots of kids at my school wear classic rock bands shirts......i wonder if they really like those bands, or if they just wear them cuz they're "in"

Me too. I freaked out once and updated my iPod all over again because I had 2 artists: "Derek & the Dominos" and "Derek and the Dominoes". But, I just leave the genres. I have the album covers, though. |
You can only know if you ask, I always just ask random people about the bands their wearing most of the time they like them. I talked to a "goth" today about Mayhem and Burzum, interesting convo to say the least. I think he was impressed by my little knowledge of Mayhem. And hey if they don't know the band you could always lend them an album or two.

It took all my files and spread them all over the place and now I'm sorta going crazy about that. I stood up some friends and re-organized my computer files and edited my tracks for 4 hours. :S |
It seems to me that the 'goths' in my school don't listen to that kind of music. I see one guy wearing a Tool shirt sometimes, but other than that, it appearsr that not much heavy music is being played. |

Ya well it took like the names literally, if for example the song was Bob Dylan Featuring 50 Cent it would make a whole knew folder of that and now I have 10 gillion folders all over the frickin' place driving me insane. But its all good now I got Dr. Pepper, and the only reason I got it was because a thread in the damn pit talking about it. |

*Has spacims of pain at the mere thought.* I keep my iTunes well orginized, I can't stand it when theres wrong names or its says something like under the name: Bob Dylan - Desolation Row and then under artist either nothing or Bob Dylan. Np: Do What You Like - Blind Faith |

When you're importing the CDS, just put the main artist as the artist, then import it. For example, if I was importing something like Bob Dylan feat. The Band, I'd title the artist "Bob Dylan" and in the song say "Knockin' on Heaven's Door (feat. The Band)". It generally keeps things organized. But yeah, I know what you mean, it's a pain in the ass when that happens. |

http://tinypic.com/m7dzsi.jpg Look at all that clutter, but luckly I didn't do all my albums or else I'd die. Ya usually I do the Song ft. Blooo style but eh. So does no one like Big Star?! |
Do you get a lot of songs from Limewire (or something like that)?
|
Wow, how come some are individual albums and some are bands?
|
So, I'm sittin' here listening to T-Bone Walker Blues album. It's great.
Downloading Dick's Picks 18 too. |
Do you get a lot of songs from Limewire (or something like that)?
No, I have Slsk to preview artists, but those are all full albums. Although I have a folder of about 3000 songs from my BearShare days of middle school. I usually end up buying the albums I really like or slightly like I haven't bought an album I haven't listened to already since... well I think Let it Bleed in 7th grade was the last one.
Wow, how come some are individual albums and some are bands?
Exactly! Thats what drives me crazy and some of the folders only have one song in them, because of how they were labled with the Band being two people or what not. In the inside of the artist folders they have the albums from that artist but I don'' like that style. Damn this iTunes messing with my game. |

Fair enough. Songs from Limewire/whatever tend to have scewy titles so I felt like asking. |
For the longest time I swore "Stuck in the Middle With You" was by Steve Miller Band and "House of the Rising Sun" was my favorite Led Zeppelin song.
I'm sending out Big Star damnit. To everyone! Oh and my most embarassing one was when a teacher played "The Weight", and I was like "Oh man I love this song, Marshall Tucker Band rule! "Take A Load Off Annie" is my favorite song of theirs." or something like that really loud to the whole class only to have the teacher correct me. I could tell hours of storys about me and file sharing adventures. Keep in mind this was in 7th grade I'd like to think I'm less guilble/more knowledgable than then. |
"House of the Rising Sun" was my favorite Led Zeppelin song.
 Ah, file sharing programs, I love you. Also, the ones that are titled "The Doors - Stairway to Heaven" |
For the longest time I swore "Stuck in the Middle With You" was by Steve Miller Band and "House of the Rising Sun" was my favorite Led Zeppelin song.

I searched for House of the Rising Sun and in the title of one of the files, it said "BY THE ANIMALS, NOT CREAM, LED ZEPPELIN, THE ROLLING STONES, OR ANY OTHER BAND!!!!"
A little obsessive, but hey. new avatar and usertitle++ |
I'm also very particular about how my music is labeled and organized. If something doesn't have a year or genre or is capitilized wrong, I freak out.
And yea, P2P programs always have screwy song titles. Like Gin and Juice by Phish and "Aerosmith feat. Led Zeppelin-Sweet Emotion," at least that one has one band right. |
eh, yours isnt that bad. mines just by album title. no artists. because if i redid it, i'd have to reimport everything.
|
new avatar and usertitle++
Is that Rodney Dangerfield? How I miss that man. :(
I'm also very particular about how my music is labeled and organized. If something doesn't have a year or genre I freak out.
I don't care about year or genre, but I like to know what artist, album, and song I'm listening to. |

A little obsessive, but hey. new avatar and usertitle++
Thats what got me set me straight, it was that exact file name too lol. Rodney was an ugly ugly man. Theres a guy in the music video for "Bat Country" that looks like him kinda.
And yea, P2P programs always have screwy song titles. Like Gin and Juice by Phish and "Aerosmith feat. Pink Floyd - Knocking on Heavens Door that I never listened to till around this Christmas... it was GnR singing it I was like "What the!" I feel incomplete if some artists have genres and years and others don't. So I just make them all have it. |
