I wonder if anybody realizes how much wasted time and effort an art major takes...
Take a few of these things into consideration:
Every time you talk about art you look like a jackass, you think plasticity filters = skill.
You obsess over generic color schemes.
You can't even cleanly crop a picture.
Have you ever tried painting?
Have you ever tried drawing?
I already make money doing freelance graphic design.
I want to eventually become an illustrator.
I'm not a shallow jackass obsessed with status and money.

So yeah, idk if your opinion on what an art major consists of is very accurate, since, like every other case, you just don't know what you're talking about.

P13 09-12-2010 07:10 PM

yeah arts >>> business degree

witchxrapist 09-12-2010 07:12 PM

Spending hours painting in detail = easy major with no real benefit.

Drugstep 09-12-2010 07:12 PM

but your saying that obsessions with status and money are "shallow" is itself to me a shallow and juvenile interpretation of humanity
agreed

witchxrapist 09-12-2010 07:13 PM
mappy i agree with you that brent is a dum dum

but your saying that obsessions with status and money are "shallow" is itself to me a shallow and juvenile interpretation of humanity
That was more my way of pointing out how Brent comes off to me.

limonade 09-12-2010 07:13 PM

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

witchxrapist 09-12-2010 07:14 PM

Like he clearly wants people to agree that his major is more, "worth while," in the long run which is just bullshit, it's all about personal aspirations, not what other people think.

Drugstep 09-12-2010 07:14 PM

fifth semester and i still haven't declared a major

just got back from my neighbors house, my dad went over to tell him not to come in my garage and start unplugging our amps when the rock band is over

RouteOne 09-12-2010 07:15 PM

It depends on what you're going to do with the degree. Art degrees can be useful if you go into the right field. Its just like psyche degrees. People laugh at them but there are a few ways to make a lot of money with them.

witchxrapist 09-12-2010 07:15 PM
i'll have to work ridiculously hard for my major and i myself acknowledge that it's not relatively legitimate
What are you majoring in?

witchxrapist 09-12-2010 07:20 PM

I was thinking about architecture in high school, but there's too much math involved, math bores the shit out of me.

And yeah, that's pretty much what I figured out when I took my year off. /hi5

P13 09-12-2010 07:20 PM

hey elim are you in nanoscience too!?!

P13 09-12-2010 07:22 PM
