Holy ****, I was so bored while MX was out.

Daydream Nation came in the mail today, I'm on my first listen through it right now. It's so ****ing good so far. I'm really glad I got this on hard copy.

gmoneyguy 02-11-2008 09:16 PM

When did MX finally get back up?

NemesisDivina 02-11-2008 09:17 PM

A little bit ago, I don't know.

Stop being lazy and do the next round of RMOTM :p

it's great stuff. Waters of Nazareth is my favourite.

big80smullet 02-11-2008 09:57 PM

justice is ****ing sweet tbh. like ridiculously good

Transient 02-11-2008 09:58 PM

idk about ridiculously good, I mean they sound a lot like Daft Punk. They're good, but Daft Punk did the same thing 10 years ago.

gmoneyguy 02-11-2008 09:59 PM

oh yeah I got my RYM profile completely up to date now. Its guess MX being down was kind of a good thing.

Yeah, I did too. I went through a bunch of my ratings and changed a lot of albums that I felt weren't worthy of their current rating. There were kind of a lot, surprisingly.

um no. justice are very much different. thats like saying protest the hero and btbam are writing the same music.

good song btw

Apocalyptic Raids 02-11-2008 10:12 PM

There is a similarity between with those kind of screeching, distorted synths that Daft Punk used on a couple of early songs (like Rollin' and Scratchin') but Justice take that idea a lot further than Daft Punk ever did.

big80smullet 02-11-2008 10:15 PM

daft punk make poppy music, justice's music is very much designed for the clubs.

pop some Es and ****ing go off

gmoneyguy 02-11-2008 10:16 PM

I smoked grand daddy purple laced with Molly once. It was grand.

Charizard 02-11-2008 10:18 PM

i found out that my older brother (the one who went completely insane) used to have a connection for $50 an ounce of kind bud (type of beasters)

holy **** im jealous

Daft Punk circa Homework is very club-oriented, but since it was such a big influential album in that scene it's a comparison that gets made (and exaggerated) alot. It's kind of like how you can't read an Interpol review without Joy Division being mentioned somewhere.

big80smullet 02-11-2008 10:25 PM

i havent really heard too much daft punk stuff tbh. i need some of their older stuff. whats their best jono?

Charizard 02-11-2008 10:27 PM

evan, whats your msn?

Apocalyptic Raids 02-11-2008 10:29 PM

Discovery is my favourite. It's the poppier one, and Homework is the more club oriented one, like I said. A couple of the songs on Homework are better than anything on Discovery, but Discovery is the best overall.

Discovery rules.

What rules more is poon after work.

Permanent Solution 02-11-2008 10:37 PM

I used to think everyone talking about how good Daft Punk was was joking and it was a big internet joke because the first time I heard them I thought they blew.

gmoneyguy 02-11-2008 10:37 PM

Cougar?
