I have about two weeks til school starts for me.
I probably get out before all of you, though /college boy
My sister leaves for university september 4th (or somewhere around there) |
Who is the best keyboardist that was in the Grateful Dead?
I think Tim Constanten was the most creative. I like him just a little more than Keith Godchaux. |
My sister leaves for university september 4th (or somewhere around there)
Well, I move in in two/two and a half weeks, which is what I meant. |
When do you have to move in, though?
I'm going to a community college for the first semester, I'm transfering to State in January. It really sucks, but at least I only have to wait a semester to transfer and not a whole year like some of my other friends. |

You're not Brittish, are you? |
It's nice to see an entire page of spam.
So I bought "Brian Wilson Presents" SMiLE a couple weeks ago...personally, it's not as good as I was expecting. None of the songs are really that catchy, and I think The Beach Boys have produced much better albums than this. I see where Brian Wilson was trying to go...but it just didn't work out. |
Man, I really should listen to The Grateful Dead more. I have quite a few of their albums(or my dad does, rather) so it's not like it would cost me much to listen to em.

i aint a huge grateful dead fan, but i like touch of grey. |

Touch of Grey is a great song. That song got a few of my friends into the Dead. Give them more of a chance. You may not like what you've heard, but the Grateful Dead's sound really changed from album to album, so chances are that you'd like some of their stuff. |
I dont really like Touch Of Grey that much.
TC was probably the best but my favourite is definetly Pigpen. |

I think the songs are catchy as hell. I'm not a big fan of the (latter) Beach Boys material but I really like this album. |
I think it's pretty good. It's not as good as Pet Sounds, but it's good.

The Rolling Stones are playing a small un annouced gig tomorrow night in Toronto. It's going to be broadcast live on Q107, so I'll be listening.

Cool. I wanted to go see them, but didn't want to shell out the hundred dollars especially since most people said they were disappointing their last tour. |
I played it once for my friend and he was like "this crap is gay."
:upset:
You have no choice but to kill him. I start grade eleven on September 6th, but it's one of those wacky half-days. np: White Rabbit  |

Yeah except this gig will be small and inexpensive. |
I have Reckoning, Skeletons from the Closet, and Europe '72.
|
2 Live albums and a best of. I haven't heard Reckoning but Europe '72 is very good.

News: SOUTH-EAST TEXAS GETS IT'S 1ST RAIN IN A MONTH!!!!!! :D
I'm continuing my streak of getting my ever so "lost" cd's back and today's feat was Wish You You Were and MAN THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING!!!!!!!! But I and all of you already knew that anyway. It's just it's the first time this album has struck my ear all summer (My summer ends today :( ) and it was just fantastic. Still in my top 5 favorite albums for sure. :) NP: Wish You Were Here (Syd Barrett) My first day won't be so bad. I'm waking and baking before school and after school I'm going shrooming and tripping all afternoon. :D |

I could upload some for you if you wish. Livewired-Pigpen wasn't that good at keyboard. His real strength was his voice and stage presence. Also, The Changeling is probably my favorite Doors song, but no one ever talks about it. |
TC was probably the best but my favourite is definetly Pigpen.
It seems to me that Livewired knew Pigpen wasn't the most talented, but was his favorite for the same reasons you mentioned, stage presence etc. I'd have to agree with this. I like The Changeling. np- Bluesbreakers- Key to Love |
Oh no, I know. I said he was my favourite.
Favourite does not mean best. EDIT-I was beaten |
Well, yea, I was just saying...
Pigpen's songs are all cool. |
