/wonders if you remember :)
o.O ? Did you play it for me?.... What Jeff Buckley album should I buy next? I've got Grace so far. |
pfff. jeff buckley. As I said, I was underwhelmed by it - I mean, it was alright, but it didn't immediatley just grab me in the way that other albums have, such as "Hunky Dory" by Bowie, or "Something Else by the Kinks" (and if you can't work out who that's by, you deserve to be shot :))
|
Tim Buckley > Jeff Buckley
|
I agree with you on the wow factor with Grace, I've had the album for almost 4 years now and thats me just listened to it all the way through.
Something just clicked last night when I had it on. I don't know if it's because my musical tastes have changed in those 4 years (I think it is this) or just because things have changed in my life and the lyrics grabbed me more. Who are Bowie and The Kinks? :p |
Tim Buckley > Jeff Buckley
without being too skanky, i don't suppose you have any of the tim buckley albums on THE LIST, do you? NP: Tortoise - Djed No-one's ever heard of Tortoise :( Shame, I like 'em. This song's cool, half way through, it sounds like your cd player broke. BUT IT DIDN'T  |
I might do, I'll go have a look. What albums?
|
Tim Buckley – Goodbye And Hello
Tim Buckley – Greetings From L.A. Tim Buckley – Happy Sad those are the ones included on the list... two more than his son :) /not 100% joke, they COULD have inlcuded buckley jr's "sketches of thingy" post-humous album. NP: Tortoise - Glass Museum |
I shall go look through Dad's CD collection. It'll be the weekend before I rip/upload if I have them though.
|
you = rawk. much manlove for you
/notgay |
Gah, unless dad's hiding them from me, he only has those albums on tape.
I mean come on, tape. |
The Beatles > The Kinks
Anywhoo, I'm off to sand this body down some. |
^^ Agreed++ (with Swim, that is)
AG: ain't no problem, cheers anyway mang. You should get in on the action, y'know, DO the list. It's fun :) NP: Tortoise - The Taut And Tame |
I do agree, Jeff isn't immediate, and i've had the album for years then one day it was just
o.O ? Did you play it for me?.... What Jeff Buckley album should I buy next? I've got Grace so far.
Unfortunatley the silly bugger died before finishing anything else, i really love sketches for my sweet heart the drunk which is the 'sketches' for his next album, although IMO the first disk is 5/5, i love every song, the second has the makings of great songs, but they are mainly just home recordings. Other then that there are a couple of live albums, Live à l'Olympia, and Live At Sin-é probably being the best. I can upload, i'm about to start some for gur. |

woooo :D
This just arrived in the post |
I was the same with DSOTM, ya know. I never really 'got' it for aaaaaaages... and then suddenly... POW! I think, really, it was "On the Run" that completely threw me off the album, I was like, "WTF IS THIS?!?!?!"... but as I 'got' the album, I 'got' the point of OTR, and I was like, oooooooooh...
And then I thought it was great. And THEN, I saw the 'classic albums' thingy on DSOTM, and then I got it even MORE, coz you really understand then what it was Floyd was trying to do. And now I'm like, ZOMGloveDSOTMPLUSPLUSPLUS EFF TEE DUBBELYOO |
Oh I thought he'd managed to make a few other albums before he died. My bad.
Thanks Paul :) |
Heh Buckethead are cool :)
Big Sur Moon is a cool song. |

This just arrived in the post
Flash+shiny reflective surface=, but I THINK it says "Bucketheadland 2". Which I assume is a Buckethead album. Which is cool, Buckethead did some **** with Les Claypool, who rawks  |
FFS I'm off the internet for one day and MX gets closed again. This time permanently :(
|
You know what MX should do? He should compile all the tabs collected on the site into one zip file, and give it to all forum members. Now THAT would stick it to the MPA
|
That would be fucking awsome. ^^
Flash+shiny reflective surface=, but I THINK it says "Bucketheadland 2".
Yeah light+shiney case+ bad webcam = bad photo! and yes you're right about the name |
Swim: yeh, but where's the sense of revenge & retribution in that?
NP: Daft Punk - Daftendirekt |

Besides, Powertab & Guitar Pro > Text tab. Though text tab's still the best for just chords, ovi. NP: Daft Punk - Revolution 909 Homework++ |
