thoughts on leviathan

i like leviathan so be gentle
I love leviathan...and I actually wish he hadn't ever thought of leaving SF, Oakland, Northern Cali, etc...

(Also, am thinking the word 'innocent' may be in order, after reading a recent Blake Judd interview. I may be delusional, and all, but I would tend to trust Blake J's word on some things, especially Wrest...Ha ha, lol, maybe was not exactly what you were asking, but I am thinking, lately, that I may have seriously misjudged him, along with some others...so, I like to stick up for him, now, sometimes)...

Anyway, yes, I am back...and don't be angry about it, hee. I missed you guys, so much, and I just had to drop in to say 'hi'. I am so psyched right now, that I have a sizzling Mayhem ticket, for the end of Nov, in my hot little hands...hooray...hooray!! I can't freaking wait! For some reason, The Regency Ballroom has a picture with Dead and Euro on their current Mayhem ad...jeeps...dunno. They may be there, in spirit, for sure...Anyway. I had so many questions in my mind whether I'd ever get to see them, but, here they are, and on their way...so great...I can't get over it...

Cheers...

ablazeinmynorthernhi 11-02-2011 08:39 AM

So, ok, I hope I didn't post the following information, already, here, at all before. I may very well have already posted about these particular gigs, but can't remember doing so. Anyway, I got to see Inquisition, a while back, which was just simply amazing, and also saw Pale Chalice, somewhat recently. Those bands were both quite awesome. I was truly impressed by the guys in Pale Chalice, for sure. They were very distant, and all, and they have this way, especially the singer, of looking straight at you, and looking right through you, all at once. What a stage presence! They were so great, even though playing in a really small venue. I'd see those guys again, in a heart beat...

Also, Inquisition, of course, was truly fantastic, to. It was a little bit funny, because they are so monotone most of the time. It was quite amazing tonally, though...absolutely. It just sounded really great even though, as you probably know, there are only two of them in that band. When the singer explained that it was all ritual, it made perfect sense. Anyway, he really just knows us in SF, a little too well, maybe, somehow, because on the very last song, he asked the sound guy to do him a favor and turn the volume way, way up. It was so cool, and the song just shredded!!

Suddenly, there was the most massive Most Pit happening that I had seen in a really long time. I used to always just jump right in, but there was no way I was getting right into the middle of all that lovely chaos. It was insanely crazy in the middle of it, causing people to fly from one side of the pit, to the other in two seconds, or so. They were really moving, and I was just totally getting smashed against a bench along the wall for a while, and then into this totally beautiful guy, who didn't seem very much to mind it. After a few people took off, there was more room, and so I stood up on the bench, and then, I was looking straight down at this completely chaotic room. The whole thing was absolutely beautiful, just simply a massive, Hardcore, Metal, thrill...

Hee, now I am certainly wondering what it's going to be like seeing Mayhem. I don't suppose if they have some pigs heads lining the stage, that it will be any more repulsive than watching Frank Discussion play a whole set, at Gillman, wearing a dog stole, years back...

...after that, I believe, I am probably ready for anything...will see..

Anyway, it's gonna rock my whole month, to be going to see Necrobutcher. He's the one I'm just so excited I'll be getting to see in person. I'll let you know how it goes, and if anything terribly unexpected happens. It's going to be a complete and utter gas!! Ha ha...

Ok, I'll talk to you guys in while. You so awesome, as I have been most happy to realize. Take over the world, or something. I will be back, in a while, and I will post some links. Talk to you some time soon...

Cheers...

Yes, I know. Well, at times, am not completely sure if anyone really wants me here, tee. I always have a good time posting on this site, though, so, I come around, occasionally, when I have a bit of time. Of course, perhaps, also, when I actually have something I think may be worth saying, about music, or bands, and such...and, not only about how much I'd truly love to go chasing the lot of you around concert halls, and so forth...hee hee...(actually, must say, that sounds ever so lovely, in fact)...

Also, I have been putting endless amounts of time into posting ads for musicians...specifically, a 'take no prisoners' guitar player, hee, and other musicians of the majorly talented variety. I found one of the really greatest guitar players I've ever heard, recently, and was lucky to jam with him a few times. He sounds just like the guitar player in Opeth, just that talented and perfected. Unfortunately, he's so busy all the time, it's been hard to get it all going. Also, did find a male singer, who has similar tastes to the guitar player, which is all that very intricate stuff...

...of course, my own big priority is simply to find someone who truly grinds. I just adore all those really great, hard ass, bands, that I could positively go on listing for days...and listening to, well, forever, and always, tee. In all honesty, I would love finding some more band members, who can, effectively, combine these two different styles...that would be so rad!

Anyway, that's what all I've been so busy with. I've been also collecting some pretty cool music equipment...such as, I can record most bands, now, with either one of my computers. I also have an inexpensive Fender, and a nice little Marshal amp, and such. Also, have one awesome keyboard, and I still have all my toms, though no bass drum, or cymbals, right now. Anyway, you are fun, and I hope you are having a great one. Talk to you, some time, soon, I hope...

Cheers...

Hee...you guys are just so damn cute!!

...especially, when you start thinking I am one of you...tee...

Actually, to be honest, unfortunately, I got a little pudge over the last couple of months, aaaah. Now, am about to start major work out at the Y, again, like I used to do. When I get my figure back like it was earlier in the year, maybe will manage to get a decent YT band vid made, that could prove I am me...hee...

Ya know...?

Anyway, you still fun...

Cheers...

Aakon_Keetreh 11-02-2011 10:46 PM

im not sure enlighten me mappy son

witchxrapist 11-02-2011 10:57 PM

i think it's because i'm always looking for new depressing black metal bands to rock out to and i forget that they're all just ripping off drudkh

Aakon_Keetreh 11-02-2011 11:04 PM

i would hardly say they are ripping off drudkh since drudkh is such a depressive black metal band
