Haha, gotta love the Ramones cover. The singer makes me sound like a competent vocalist, though, which is nice.
Eh, he's still better than me. We're looking for a vocalist thoguh haha.
Haha, Vince. My old band did a cover of The Bop at our 8th grade dance. :p
Yeah, we did other stuff (including a song from The Exlosion) but that's the only song I know of that got recorded :-\ (30 minute set) |
My band covered Wonderful Tonight and Free Fallin' too.

My band did a wicked cover of Freebird before we broke up. |
My band covered Wonderful Tonight and Free Fallin' too.
Hahahahaha, my band played Free Fallin' for one of our gigs. I was singing. I kept forgeting the lyrics, so I taped them to the mic stand  |
Hahahahaha, my band played Free Fallin' for one of our gigs.
I was singing. I kept forgeting the lyrics, so I taped them to the mic stand
Ha. My friend played guitar and sang. We had just started learning Wonderful Tonight a few days before, and he couldn't remember all of the chords and lyrics, so he had a sheet of paper on the floor to read them off of. :p |
I kept forgeting the lyrics, so I taped them to the mic stand
Haha, bet that looked classy as you were playing it! I always have difficulty remembering lyrics for gigs. I still can't get through band practice without having the sheet to refer to. When we played Scratch by Allister live, I spent most of the day at work with the lyric sheet in front of me. Somehow, I pulled it off without fluffing a line. |
All of these metalcore bands doing the Southern Rock thing lately.. :D
Hahahahaha, my band played Free Fallin' for one of our gigs. I was singing. I kept forgeting the lyrics, so I taped them to the mic stand
Alot of LOCAL bands do that. :thumb: |

There's a lame UK band called Free Faller. Just thought I'd mention. |

so what do you dream about then? What color is your skin, Private? Green, Drill Sergeant, Green! says: death. Mine, other people's, everyone's. I know it's coming, it's just a matter of all the circumstances lining up in the right order at the right time. *Insert something witty here* says: don't think like that What color is your skin, Private? Green, Drill Sergeant, Green! says: It's inevitable though. We live to die. We're born to be undone. We live under the ideal that with a strong enough resolve and enough self-worth we can change the world, but the truth is, we'll all be forgotten eventually. That's God's game. Don't get me wrong, I believe in God and I love him and believe in his love for me, but I also believe he's playing one, big game with us. We have emotions What color is your skin, Private? Green, Drill Sergeant, Green! says: simply so we can react to lifes great ironies. *Insert something witty here* says: i didn;t say it wasn't true, i just said that it's not worth centering your existance around, because it is inevetable and we know it's gonna happen we have our wholes lives to pretent it isn't, otherwise you'll never enjoy yourself What color is your skin, Private? Green, Drill Sergeant, Green! says: The trick is though, you can enjoy yourself while accepting the inevitable. Sin is nothing more than an action that presses the boundaries of God's game. It's illegal by heaven's laws because it puts us closer to divinity than God wants us to be. By acting of our own volition we spark new outcomes and new modifications to the already existing rules set in place to mark the ending of all of our What color is your skin, Private? What color is your skin, Private? Green, Drill Sergeant, Green! says: That's what causes so much insanity in so many individuals, is that we understand the guidelines and rules and outcomes, and yet are powerless to change a thing because we know the outcome of those attempts at change. Nothing is new, it's all a re-run in slow motion. |

but it's still no excuse to delve into an obession with the inevetable, because it's not worth a thing What color is your skin, Private? Green, Drill Sergeant, Green! says: What defines an obsession though in comparison to a passing observation? How do you differentiate between total attachment and total interest? I believe I'm an observer, simply stating the obvious which other's choose to ignore for the benefit of their own enjoyment, whereas others, "professionals", choose to call me insane because of my stated observations and their contradiction to those own What color is your skin, Private? i'm not saying you're obessed, i'm just saying you shouldn't become that way What color is your skin, Private? Green, Drill Sergeant, Green! says: I'm made too many moves in the game to move in reverse now. Moving backwards is an illegal action for a pawn. I'm only allowed to move forward, two spaces at first, and then one space at a time, occassionaly stepping diagonally to overcome an obstacle, but never going further ahead than I'm allowed. What color is your skin, Private? Green, Drill Sergeant, Green! says: If my name were Jesus I would be the savior of this damned world. Since when did Jared believe in god? Good stuff, though. Interesting read. That chess metaphor was tight, too. |

You're the one person that will always listen when everyone else will just give me a new name, like depressed or self-destructive. What color is your skin, Private? Since before I joined the army. |

I destinctly remember an essay of yours about how futile religion based morality is and how you blamed God from family death to the point of not believing in him. Then again, you said you believed in god, not religion. Oh well. Cheers. |

Simply because you thought you were going to die and didn't want to go to hell? (a 'just in case' kinda thing?) Man. A cathlic? Jesus christ. |
Simply because you thought you were going to die and didn't want to go to hell? (a 'just in case' kinda thing?)
That's how it started out.
Man. A cathlic? Jesus christ.
It works for me. |
It works for me.
Yeah, to each his own and all that. It's just really odd remembering the days of you in the politics forum debating with Siva and Cronium against the existance of god, and then you saying how much you love god and that you're a catholic. One of those "WTF!?" moments. |

I'll be back later. I'm going to go have a smoke and then play some Call Of Duty: Finest Hour.
|
Well, just because Jared left doesn't mean we all have to stop talking.
|
Contrary to popular belief, yes. Yes it does.
|
I wonder how the lead singer of He Is Legend ended up looking like Jesus. Also why is that all Catholic school kids turn into atheists?
|
Because the schools try and force the religion on you. No one likes being forced to do anything... anything not sexual anyways.

Hello everyone, I just got back from seeing Cohe and Cambria a few minutes ago. It was incredible. :D

Well, that's good!:thumb: I'm out, I'm a little tired and my mom just told me to go to bed. I might go play some gamecube, or find something to watch on tv. |

It's ok, you can all talk again now. |
I sold my house today. I don't wanna move though, my house is radcore.

I've been writing for the past few hours working on this NaNoWriMo 2005 thing. I so far have 2446 / 50000 words written, and it's kind of fun. I'm writing an auto-biography about my time in the army. It's called The Real Adventures Of Gomer Pyle.

Goodnight.
