Yeah man, I'm watching that too. I have a feeling the ref called it an incomplete pass because he relised he didn't call the false start on Faneca on the 4th down.

That's just me though. I did think in was an interception.

Edit-Oh Shi------Bettis Fumble. :(

good tackle by Ben though,.

EDIT2-Phew missed FG, oh man I'm so releived

jpj 01-15-2006 03:23 PM

Oh. My God. You have no idea the physical and emotional stress this game has put on me.

Mike Vanderjagt is my favorite player.

EDIT: When you put Live at Stubb's in your disc drive it plays a live video :amaze:

jpj 01-15-2006 04:26 PM

EDIT: I already had your e-mail, and I sent it out. If anyone else wants it just tell me.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-15-2006 05:23 PM
Paradise and Lunch = 5/5 album.

We should have a listening party featuring that album.
I knew you'd like it. I agree, it'd make a great 'listening party' album.

What's your favorite song off it?

jpj 01-15-2006 05:24 PM

That's Eric Dolphy isn't it? All I have is Out to Lunch, but I love it.

Could someone pleeeeeaaaaase upload The Harder They Come?

NP: Bob Marley-Burnin' and Lootin'

I would NEVER rip the Beatles.

Yeah, well I'd need to do it with a 45 rpm record!

/fayle

Anyway, I've been listening to Willy and the Poor Boys by CCR, Volunteers by Jefferson Airplane, and Harvest/Zuma/Tonight's the Night by Neil Young

That's like my least favorite CCR album. Cosmo's Factory and Green River are way better.

2. T-Bone Walker 18
3. Mississippi John Hurt 16
3. Magic Sam 16
4. Jimmy Cliff 14
5. Megadeth 10
6. Lonnie Johnson 8
6. Yonder Mountain String Band 8
7. Neil Young 6

Nice, I'm getting a Schecter Stiletto Studio bass. I ordered it at the beginning of the month, but it's still not here :(

EDIT: Moon, if you upload those albums for JonG, could you send 'em my way?
I was listening to my local classic rock station and Nirvana came on . I didn't think the early 90s were considered "classic". Guess I'm getting old :-(
No, the DJ's at your station are just getting dumber...

MidnightRider 01-15-2006 08:45 PM

Does anyone here play sitar? If so, how would you rate their difficulty? I really want to learn to play one.

Phallus Dei 01-15-2006 08:47 PM

Good luck with that. They are hella expensive I heard and very easy to break. I know Brian Jones of the bestest band of all time got his and broke it the very next day.
If it took George Harrison awhile to learn and Brian Jones more then 2 days to learn it has to be hard.

They have like 18 strings so I could only imagine how hard that'd be being a bass player and only knowing how to count to six.

I here they are extremely difficult to learn to play.

luckily my class rock station only does some 80s rock....the latest stuff they do is like Joshua Tree era U2. Mostly mid-late 70s though.

JonG 01-15-2006 08:54 PM

YSI is not cooperating. :\

Sitars have 17 strings usually, and are very, very hard to play. Not to mention costly.

Mine has actually been getting pretty good lately. I heard Us and Them on it the other day, and its been playing less and less eighties.

MidnightRider 01-15-2006 09:06 PM

Hmm...you'll are worrying me about the sitar. Maybe I can find one on E-bay for cheap.

My classic rock station is pretty good, the other day Sheep by Pink Floyd was on.

Thats awesome. Of course, I rarely have to put up with regular radio, 'cause my family's new car has Sattelite Radio which plays Echoes and Dogs and other really long prog rock.

MidnightRider 01-15-2006 09:26 PM

Yeah Sattelite Radio rocks, I wish it was a little cheaper.

WelcomeToTheMachine - I can't get that link to work, but thanks.

RockAndRoll 01-15-2006 09:27 PM

I'm pretty sure my classic rock station started playing the black crowes....

JonG 01-15-2006 09:29 PM

On my digital cable, there is a thing with a bunch of music 24/7. I turn on Blues and jam. It's a lot of fun.

WelcomeToTheMachine 01-15-2006 09:31 PM

just type in Sitar on there and look for the 299 one (i think that was the price)

Yeah I have that too. Music Choice. I've never thought of doing that. Good call. I like my satellite to though because they have Opie and Anthony broadcast on like channel 999.

Ok will do, I wonder how hard it would be to find sitar lessons?

It would be pretty hard I'd think.

Against Miik! 01-15-2006 09:34 PM

Sitars are really hard to get the hang of if you just wanna teach yourself.

thickasabrick 01-15-2006 09:50 PM

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to figure out the basic principals of sitar playing if you fooled around with it and/or read up on it enough. I could sum up the basic principals of guitar playing in a few sentences.

I had the ultimate Classic Rock station, it was literally amazing. It had awesome programs like Classic Vinyl, which was an entire album they played every night at midnight without breaks...they had Psychedelic Snack and Psychedelic Sunday, which was Psychedelic music every lunch and Sunday morning. They also had cool Blues shows Sunday nights that played mostly rare Blues from the 30's up until now but also popular blues, and it always had this funny Rastafarian weather reporter that would (fakely) give the weather report as he was driving down Main Street and toking up...he'd always end his report by saying "Not too many cops out today, but I'd advise you to roll down your windows, just to be on the safe side."

BludgeonySteve 01-15-2006 10:09 PM

On the topic of radio: Anyone going to listen to Little Steven's underground garage tonight? That's always a good radio show.

(+, sitar would be fun to play. But I hear that they cost several thousand dollars)

I probably will.

JonG 01-15-2006 10:42 PM

Does anybody else have some blues that I don't have?

I need some, Jake(DemBonez) has left for almost a year and he usually hooked me up :\
