when you start the game you have to create a character by selecting 5 Major Stats and 5 Minor Stats from a selection of 27 (theyre like, Long Blade, Axe, Restoration (white magic essentially), Destruction (black magic essentially), Conjuration (summoning) and many others) and I've been trying to recreate FF classes into the game to play as but its not turning out too well.

Like if I want to make a Dragoon ill use Spear, Medium Armor, Athletics, Acrobatics aaaannnddd....i dont know. I end up having to mixmatch jobs and it just doesnt work like i want it too.

yeah idk man those seem like most of the basics to me.

have you ever played earthbound

it has a good story but the battle system is kind of obnoxious because you have to pick every single characters attack before any of them attack. so basically it isn't ATB so you have to blindly pick attacks not knowing how effective they are from seeing other characters try them.

I made it past the first city in Earthbound and just couldnt handle the ui anymore. also saving in that game is kinda retarded

that i was also playing it on emulator kind of brought the experience down a bit. i dont like emulating stuff like i used to

Earthbound is fucking awesome.

it's pretty tedious, but fun

i played it on znes emulator, i use hori fight stick as my controller

and using it for any thing else it uhh...works

i use a dualshock ripoff pad from logitech for all my emulating

i use a keyboard. idk

i used keyboard until i ordered a usb adapter for playstion controller its so much better now

SNES was great for RPG's

Have never manged to get any emulator to work besdies the visual boy advance one.

Which sucks cos I'd love to get a Gamecub one working and play wind waker.

most of the emulators for newer systems are pretty buggy too i think

What are the chances of me running an emulator successfully for the ps1/n64 on an average/slightly above average spec laptop ?

i have a shity computr and ps1 emulator runs fine

n64 roms can be temperamental
I have some that run really well on my laptop and others that barely work

so y did i get band then
