they straddle the line, very aggro like most "nu-metal" bands of the early 90's but also pretty tech-y with a hard edged electronic sound. The singer just happens to have a ballsy voice capable of aggression and squalls of melody, and the band sounds like they try and are capable of making good songs. It all ends in pop hooks and playing towards those affections, but I was certainly a fanboy from a young age. Listening to them now makes a lot of sense, strangely. |
