Does anyone else think the guitar solos on "Hallowed Be Thy Name" (in the running for R&M's best song by the way!) sound like they're divided into three parts? I mean, it would make sense at this point in Maiden's career because they have three guitarists, but back when it was just Dave and Adrian, how did they divide up that three-part solo? It sounds very clearly like the two guitar parts overlap and "switch" leads twice.

well they are very clever with the way they divide up solos, and sometimes do them at the same time.

Okay. The "switches" that I'm talking about happen at 5:08 and 5:16 on the studio version of the song, in case anyone's confused as to what I'm talking about.

maby dave-adrian-dave, and then different in other songs so they would get as much playing each? or maby one of then played 2(thoose two at the same length as the 1 the other played?)

I heard the part you were talking about, and it sounds as though they do switch parts, although the third guitar part seems to be just a fancy effect.

The switch sounds like it would have taken a bit of work, though.
