post rock song and video i made. kinda got the generic post rock sound but i was mostly just trying to get my recording technique down so i didn't want to try anything too complicated. don't have a cab right now so i had to go straight through my head into recording unit so the guitars are a tad muffled, but overall i'm quite pleased with it.

Txus 01-23-2011 10:42 PM

That was nice.

Nepenthe 01-23-2011 10:45 PM

appreciated man. once i get a cab i'm going to be recording a sludge/post metal album so you'll definitely have to check that out.

RouteOne 01-23-2011 10:46 PM

that was pretty cool

nice job

Txus 01-23-2011 10:47 PM

I probably will, everything I've heard from you has been pretty good. And please, if you do a sludge album make it original since the genre is filled with overdone shit. I'm sure you will.

it will be original, no worries. i don't want to give away too much, but let's just say i'm going to find some very interesting ways to incorporate harmonica and wind chimes into the music, among many other things.

That sounds like awesome, Anthony.

shortz 02-17-2011 06:32 PM

LDC released it already? Sweet, gotta go find that shit. And Kazan is pretty good too, just downloaded it the other day and I'm likin' what I hear.

JoshMartin321 02-18-2011 08:08 AM

Explosions in the Sky are awesome. I can't get enough. Favourite track is probably Your Hand In Mine.

angelmk 02-20-2011 07:40 AM

i didn't know Long Distance Calling were releasing new album, now i checked, it will be out tomorrow, so i have big expectations of this album, since their previous effort was very good one.

feav233 02-21-2011 07:52 PM

looks like new grails leaked

shortz 02-21-2011 08:29 PM

Anyone listen to the new LDC yet? I'm only the second song in and it's alright so far.

Edit: After the first listen, I'm not really digging this at all. Just seems boring to me. Maybe after a few listens I'll appreciate it.

sexpoi 02-22-2011 11:57 AM

And So I Watch You From Afar, The Samuel Jackson Five, Irepress, pg. Lost are all in my favorites for post rock

feav233 02-22-2011 12:06 PM

asiwyfa is pretty great

Txus 02-22-2011 12:06 PM

new grails is outstanding

feav233 02-22-2011 12:11 PM

yea it is, i'll probably throw it on pretty soon

Txus 02-22-2011 12:16 PM

yeah, i hadn't heard such a strong album in the genre since asiwyfa's debut

Cheesesandwich2 02-22-2011 01:40 PM

Mercury Program, Mazerati, and Explosions in the Sky are my favorites

Nepenthe 02-22-2011 03:20 PM

grails is easily one of my favorites. they release shit so often it's hard for me to keep up tho.

Txus 02-22-2011 04:40 PM
