His vocals were like that for their first three albums: Something Wild, Hatebreeder (which has the song you heard), and Follow the Reaper. The newer albums, Hate Crew Deathrol and Are You Dead Yet?, have a more traditional scream. If you like that kind of melodic playing than I recommend either Follow the Reaper or Hatebreeder.

FlyingPaul_83 09-03-2005 09:44 AM

Follow the reaper, then Hatebreeder.

MRDuCran 09-03-2005 12:23 PM

I must be the only one that absolutely adores Alexis voice. Sixpounder, In Your Face, Needled 24/7, Hate Me, Bodom After Midnight and Silent Night, Bodom Night are just a few that i completely love, vocal and guitar wise.

Shattered_Future 09-03-2005 12:51 PM
It's oaky. Alexander was the rhythm guitarist and left a few years ago. Roope Latvala (originally from Stone) took his place. It's good to see more CoB fans out there. Alexi is my favorite guitarist alongside Matt Bachand and Jon Donais.
A FIRE IN BABYLON! :p

Get Follow The Reaper...best album they've put out yet.

alphamonkey 09-03-2005 06:34 PM

Definitly get either Follow The Reaper or Hatebreeder.

I loved his voice back in the day. When he still had the Hatebreeder/Follow the Reaper style scream he was my favorite vocalist.

Why did he lose that **** good voice? This has been bugging me lately.

MRDuCran 09-03-2005 07:33 PM

I think he sounds good even on their new stuff.

AA-12 09-03-2005 07:34 PM

He sounds way better on the new stuff. His voice is much more controlled.

NEVRMORE2 09-03-2005 07:35 PM

when does the new album come out and can i get some uploads?

Don't bother with it, I've heard it, and its Metalcore bull. It disgusts me.

Ugh, it's not metalcore at all. Also, where did you hear it? I don't even think it's leaked yet.

Friend of a friend gave it to me, I soon deleted it afterwards. Alexi has gone downhill.

How so? He's improved in about every aspect. Also, how is it metalcore?

pieisgood19 09-03-2005 07:57 PM

Kissing the shadows
Everytime I die

Those are my favorite songs overall. When does this world tour start?

Shadows 09-03-2005 08:35 PM
How so? He's improved in about every aspect. Also, how is it metalcore?
I hate those guys. Whenever a band remotely changes their style they assume they're selling out as another metalcore band. But calling CoB metalcore just shows that they don't have the first fucking clue what metalcore is.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-03-2005 09:08 PM

It starts on October 1 actually. I will be at that show. (Unless it sells out by tomorrow afternoon)

i know but hes been talking crap about metalcore but withought any explination. also does anyone have uploads for the CoB new album?

flamesofbodom 09-03-2005 09:22 PM

First of all metalcore doesnt have keyboards or solos or riffs that blow you away. Youve only heard IYF i can tell because the rest of the songs are way more like Bodom anyway(even though IYF is just like HCDR pretty much)

Several. Nearly the whole album has been leaked. Only a few songs are left, thanks to a sampler released a while ago. I can't believe they've managed to keep the album so secret. :( Only two weeks left and I still don't know what the album sounds like.

I love it because the riffs are heavy and ctachy as hell, the keyboards are as strong as ever, and the solos are fast while still fitting the song. Alexi doesn't go for all-out shredding like he used to but perhaps that's a good thing.

 I just remembered, I've never heard anything aside from In Your Face!

Full Album.

FlyingPaul_83 09-04-2005 12:07 AM

I'm gonna go buy it. I wanna support the group by buying the album. I am very tempted todownload it, but I shall wait.

blue3 09-04-2005 12:12 AM

I'm planning to buy it too.

Huber 09-04-2005 12:42 AM

I'm going to buy it simply because the experience when you buy the album is much better. That download is real tempting though. Jeeze, I think I might have to write CoB an IOU for this one.

The term sell out is complete rubbish. It's their job people, selling is what they've always done, and they make music to do it.

Plus, when a band goes from not being very popular, changing their sound, and still not being very popular how on earth could you call them sellouts. Same goes for bands who are already popular and remain popular after a musical evolution.
