I love Gilmour, but I agree. He didn't play fast. When asked why in an interview, he said it was because he couldn't. I don't know if he was joking around or not, but I personally think the quality of music would diminish if he tried to play fast shred stuff. But yeah, not a shredder.

yea i agree...like in Final Cut just for example.....its like soothing not like fast....not like hendrix by any means but a amzing guitartist

rojer waters had the biggest influenze on the music that went main stream....although some of the wall is about syd its about rojers experiences with syd....comfortabu numb for example....whats everyones veiw on the song "not now john"....(The Final Cut)?

Thats what I like so much about the album, I love when bands sound change from early to latter so much. It just makes listening to them much more interesting. I really like that song Flamming too, very catchy lyrics, Chapter 24 has a great philosphy behind it too.
