Yeah I've only shown a couple of people my designs who I trust know how important it is that no one else knows about them. The one thing is that I would do stencils and the designs I want to do are life size so my parents would know that they're not for a t shirt. Though I suppose I can make them in secret and hide them until they're used. After spraying them I'd probably destroy them. Ideally I'd want to do them in the middle of the night and sneaking out of my house isn't really an option because my mom works at night and often stays up til 5. I think it will be easier when I can drive, it'll probably lessen my chance of being caught by cops and will better enable be to work outside my immediate community. Don't crap where you eat, y'know.
I'll probably end up waiting until I go to college to do a lot of work. Less complications to worry about. Also a bandana protects from particles but not fumes/vapor. You need a respirator for that.
Bandana/scarve soaked with white spirit vinegar. learned that little trick in palestine when the IDF got up on the wrong side of the bed. |
Me: I do DIY clothing stuff
Friend: DIY... doesn't that have something to do with drunk driving Me: no, that's DUI or DWI. Friend: are you sure? I guess that makes sense. What about like... driving under yak? Me: um... that wouldn't make any sense. That's DUY. Driving intoxicated yak, perhaps? Friend: now that's hardcore. Ah, My friends... Anyway, a little while back people were talking about DIY being a political statement. Sure, I guess I agree, but I myself never really did it for a political reason. I just like spending my time making my own clothing. |
RudeBoyStompin - I don't know if you want to wait until you can drive though, if they think your up to something and get your plate your done. Just stay at one of the friend's houses that knows your design and sneak out of their house instead.

Park a couple of miles away.

Lol, that would be hilarious. I was on the train back from Hammersmith today and I saw two blonde, blue-eyed possibly twins (they were very alike, but then again, all Aryans look the same to me:p) and they looked about the right age to be those two Prussian Blue white supremos. I wish they were, because then I would have claimed to be a big fan, taken a picture of them with me using my mobile, then I would have proceeded to chat them up. Imagine their frustration when they learned they'd had an incestual threesome with a Jew! Mhuahahahahahahahaha. And I would have also made a tape, of course. Can't have a threesome with nazi 14 year old aryan twins without making a tape. |

Me and tow of my friends spent a good hour or so in an alley spraying over all the lame "WEED IS FUN" **** with Black Flag logos and stuff. Except one of them likes HIM, and he was spraying that "heartagram" everywhere. |

Heartograms are so damn lame. My friend tattoo'ed a heartogram onto his heel (needle and ink, what an idiot). He's such a Lamepants McPoserton. As you can see I have just finished reading every single QC strip. NEEEED MOOOOREEEEE. |

http://www.indietits.com Same person writes that as QC, different kind of humour usually. In general if you want more webcomics, I'll rec. more, but not in here, in the Community Thread |

I just wanna get a pair of lime green chukkas!
Sounds stupid to start a thread about shoes, but I'm going to. Punkers are into activism and such, and I want to buy a pair of shoes that aren't made in a sweatshop. I wear Vans shoes, which look cool and are comfortable, but I can't help but feel guilty. Any suggestions?
please don't flame the **** out of me for this thread... |
Grammatically yes, but they're technically song lyrics so I don't think it really matters.

Weezerfan, you can order non sweatshop or union made shoes online at various places.
http://www.nosweatstuff.com.au/ - All union made stuff http://shoeswithsouls.com/default.aspx - All either union made or sweatshop free http://www.macbethshoes.com/Default_flash.php - I have a pair of shoes from this company. They have pretty good labor standards. |

That is an INCREDIBLE idea. I shall make a slingshot later. On the subject, anyone know how to make a decent slingshot? And I mean GOOD. |
When our old venue was shut down on the last show we tagged "We Do The Ska" everywhere. The stuff we tagged outside is still there. I dont know about inside tho.
Should of taken a picture. We all sprayed our names on the walls, and everytime a band came and played they would tag the wall. It looked awesome. |
Cool. What this has to do with DIY I don't know, but I'm not complaining.

Although I used to live in an appartment above this building, I have yet to write my name on it. Back before I was born, when my family was living upstairs, some artist was painting this old fashion coke a cola advertisement on the side, right where our window looked out from. When he was signing the names, he wrote my brother's name there too. It's still there, although the painting is peeling quite a bit, and some people graffitied on it a bit. His name is still intact. |
