The Ashtray Girl 12-30-2004 03:31 PM
Well, I'm off shopping.

I've invited the mixtape girl, but I don't know whether she's coming yet. :-*
So how did that go?

Hello everyone how's it goin?

The Ashtray Girl 12-30-2004 03:34 PM

Hello, oh new person. How is it with you?

pixiesfanyo 12-30-2004 03:38 PM

Is Dead Prez the group that has the song " I ain't 'fraid to die, I ain't got shit to lose, I'm sick and tired of living in a world full of booze!"

Because the band is hilarious

A Goonie 12-30-2004 03:39 PM

She didn't show. Which sucks, because I really wanted to talk to her. But I just sent her an e-mail saying my piece. I wanted to do it face-to-face, but - for personal reasons - doing it before New Years was more important.

Now I wait on the response.

And listen to Miles Davis. I may well end up preferring this (Porgy & Bess) to Sketches Of Spain, which is currently my favourite jazz record. Stunning stuff.

The Dead Prez album rules too. I'm just getting to the end of the 'Today' side.

To everyone that was talking about books earlier in up the page:

Do you ever bail out in the middle of a book to start another one? I tend to find myself doing that a lot.

currently, I'm reading:

The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene
Long Day's Journey Into Night by Eugene O'Neill
Hearts in Atlantis by Stephen King
and Faithful by Stewart O'Nan/Stephen King

br3ad_man 12-30-2004 05:23 PM

I need some more books. My Dad has sooo many but all the ones he gives me, I find boring.

moderaterock222 12-30-2004 06:20 PM

I used to love reading. But i haven't had the time recently. I've been reading Robinson Crusoe for the last few months. Not a lot happens, but i find it a good book to escape into.

Zappa 12-30-2004 07:16 PM

New avatar. It's Mark Sandman, most famous (though not famous enough) for his vocals and 2-string bass playing with the band Morphine. Cool.

BillCosby 12-30-2004 07:21 PM

My Creative Zen is so cool. :D

Zappa 12-30-2004 07:23 PM

I couldn't finish Catch 22, by the way.

sweboy 12-30-2004 07:26 PM

Am I the only one who gets those "problem with the database"-messages a lot today?

Zappa 12-30-2004 07:27 PM

I get them a lot every day. MX goes down like whoa.

YDload 12-30-2004 07:33 PM

I'm reading Catch-22 right now, after having just finished "Slaughterhouse-Five" by Kurt Vonnegut. Vonnegut's a good author; very unorthodox.

sweboy 12-30-2004 07:34 PM

I don't get them that often, but today I have almost not been able to browse at all. It's either that, or the page won't load. I get alot of non-loading from my MX pages, not oly today.

Seriously, MX is easily the slowest site of the sites I visit frequently.

Zappa 12-30-2004 07:37 PM

So no one wants to praise my awesome avatar, even for its execution, if not for the awesomeness of the subject matter?

A Goonie 12-30-2004 07:41 PM

yeah i gotten them too... that's why i couldnt get on early it just keep saying something was wrong... hmmm... but i still come back

Iai 12-30-2004 07:53 PM

The site is not open.....
It's down again!
It's down again!

Luxor 12-30-2004 11:35 PM

I just realized how much The Marble Index ripped off MC5... They suck pretty bad, just thought I'd say that.
