/me has on dee-vee-dee

I should probably get started on the podcast while this crap is downloading.

billiejoe84 11-04-2005 10:58 AM
I've downloaded excessive amounts, even for me, in the past few days. I've got:

South Park: Seasons 5, 7 and all of 9 (Not finished the season yet though)
Desperate Housewives: All of current season 2
Saw 2
Chappelle's Show: Season 1
Nip/Tuck: Season 3 Episode 3
How huge is your hard drive to enable downloading that much?

Thankfully I have a housemate with South Park series 1-9 (full) along with lots of Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama.... etc. All of which are available to my good self via the network.

160GB I think, I have another 20GB to fill up though. Of course, when I finally get my DVD-RW (Touch wood), a lot of my stuff will go. I have complete seasons of Scrubs (3 and 4), The O.C. (2), Family Guy (4) and Lost (1), so that's taking up a little bit. Also I can burn off the FG and FFVII movies

Nightvision 11-04-2005 11:04 AM

I just ordered a 300GB HDD for the PC I'm building... I'm scared it's gonna be too big and start to corrupt or something.

God I wish I had another 20gb to fill up. I think I have only twice that for my whole hard drive, which is now alarmingly full.

Dead Star 11-04-2005 11:11 AM

My hard-drive is 80gb in total, which isnt too bad.

Puma 11-04-2005 11:12 AM

Kif, do you know of any torrent sites where I could download the FFVII movie? I'd just grab it off BearShare but my computer has been screwed up for about two weeks now and all I have on this is SoulSeek.

Kif 11-04-2005 11:12 AM

My old one was 16GB. That's hardcore, right there.

It's in Japanese, but there should be a torrent for seperate subtitles. If not, I can send them over, they aren't that big a filesize

Yeah, there's torrents that all ready have the english subtitles, I just wondered if they ever dubbed one in english. No biggy though, I don't mind a little reading. Thanks again.
What the hell did you fit on that?
Very little, as I recall. Remember this was about 5 years ago, so we didn't have broadband to download loads of stuff. Mostly I used it for school work and Championship Manager.

The dubbed version should be out soon, so it will be on the Internet a little before then I think.

Yeah when I first got my computer on it, I had a Goosebumps game and another I can't remember, and that's it. No Internet, so I used it for school as well.

Dead Star 11-04-2005 11:26 AM

I would prefer the subtitles to a dubbed version.

billiejoe84 11-04-2005 11:27 AM

God, I feel so crappy and hungover.

And I have band practice soon. I dunno if I can cope.

Untitled 11-04-2005 11:29 AM

Im going to a party tomorrow, i will know about 3 people there. Hmm

Hopefully there will be some hot girls or something.

Kif 11-04-2005 11:29 AM

God I love the new season of South Park. I watched 2 new episodes today, one parodying the events of New Orleans and another in which the girls at school make a "future-seeing" device (One of those paper things where you pick a number, a colour and stuff like that). I gotta say, both got me in stitches.

Sep 11-04-2005 11:33 AM

I have 13gigs on the computer in my room. I'm on it now and it's a pentium 2.

Season 9 amirite?
Season 9 amirite?
urrite

I love South Park, it's such a breath of fresh air in comedy, no matter how tasteless it can get.

Untitled 11-04-2005 11:40 AM

There on season nine? WTF i thaught there was on about 5.

Kif 11-04-2005 11:41 AM
There on season nine? WTF i thaught there was on about 5.
Nope, season 5 was a while ago. South Park's great because they can make an episode in about 2 days, rather than it taking months for shows like Simpsons and Family Guy. That's why a lot of them are about modern day events (Like the Neo Orleans one I mentioned)

Well, South park is a LOT easier to animate then them two.

Likewise. SP is one of the few shows I'm still always happy to watch repeats of, but new episodes always crack me up too.

I just watched 'Good Times With Weapons' off series 8 and nearly pissed myself. Kenny throwing a ninja star into Butters' eye is classic.

Sep 11-04-2005 11:43 AM

Spent about 20 hours downloading 3 Joey episodes (never seen it before) and one just doesn't work, the two other episodes same to be slowed down or something so that the vocals are terrible out of place.

I am mad.

I suppose, but it's gotten a lot better over the years. Besides which Simpsons just looks bad now it's animated so well.

"Good Times With Weapons" is a genius way to kick off the season. I think one of my favourite episodes is "South Park Is Gay!", where everyone is metrosexual because they all watch Queer Eye. Genius episode, and the fact that most of them have morals at the end of episodes makes them much better

I wouldn't worry, you aren't missing out on muchh. Joey was the "retarded" comic relief in Friends, and not much has changed

Untitled 11-04-2005 11:53 AM

The simpsons animation is great.

Dead Star 11-04-2005 11:54 AM

Joey kinda sucked.

Hard.
