I'm having the best day I've had in years.

My day was pretty average, which means it was still pretty da[size=2]mn good[/size].

So after restlessly trying to fall asleep for however long that was, I've come to the conclusion that if there is a god, he hates me, otherwise life just decides to not cut you breaks when you need them. /is moodier having tried and failed to nap

I was talking to Chris (cjborton) last night, and a light bulb went off in my head. I have been miserable this whole year at school, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I felt like I was in a rut, and was a waste of space. I realized that I belong at art/music school. I just talked to my parents about it, and they are really excited that I finally realized what I want, and that I am not doing things for them anymore. I was only going to classes to keep them happy this year. Now I finally feel good about life.

Speaking of doing things you really want to do, after I graduate I think I may tryout for the NBDL or something, or try to sign for some team in Europe.

My friend Kevin's older brother played basketball in Norway, on a semi-pro team. He got really good experience, and got to be on the starting line up, etc.

Well, I don't want to just go semi-pro, I want to go pro. There are a few NBA players who went played ball in Europe before jumping into the NBA.

I'm happy because I decided I'm going to switch schools. My parents are going to help me find some different ones. My dads side of the family is really artistic, so they are going to help me as well. My grandfather, aunt, and uncle are all art teachers.

Ray, I played for a team called Bærums Verk Bees. My friend and I were the only Americans on the team, and we would tear it up. I had never played before in my life, and I did pretty well.

I've been in one real thunderstorm, when I was visiting my cousins in Minnesota. It was actually a full fledged tornadoe/hail/thunderstorm. :eek: Kinda spooky.

And I've been playing for a while...I like my chances in Europe.

I'm a soccer player, so I didn't have much cordination with my hands. But some of those guys were [i]awful[/i]. I can't shoot very well, but they would be so obvious when passing and I would pick off the pass and go in for easy lay ups all game.

There are some really good players over there, though.

Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Andrei Kirilenko, and Tony Parker (five NBA All-Stars) all came from Europe, so it's not like everyone there sucks...but I like my chances against a bunch of gangly white guys.
