Wow, there's a Dream Theater song on my internet radio, and I thought, hey, this is pretty good... and then that faggot starts to sing.
Wow, there's a Dream Theater song on my internet radio, and I thought, hey, this is pretty good... and then that faggot starts to sing.
I feel the same way about them.

IAJP 03-30-2005 03:11 PM

Dream Theater only try and accomplish one thing,
Each musician outdoing each other.
That's not what music's about, surely?!

ATM 03-30-2005 03:14 PM

Their are much better prog bands.

superpeer 03-30-2005 03:17 PM

I just previewed Illmatic, I don't know why everyone likes it so much. Pretty generic.

ATM 03-30-2005 03:18 PM

 I hope Ray sees that.

superpeer 03-30-2005 03:20 PM

Haha, there are some songs that are pretty good, but most of it is nothing special. He disses a lot more music than me though, so :p

IAJP 03-30-2005 03:21 PM
Their are much better prog bands.
Deffinitely man.
I actually quite like them now...I liked A Change Of Seasons the first time I heard it, as the musicianship is relatively restrained there, but then I got Images And Words, and I actually really like it. But yeah, they can go over the top with the playing as fast as they possibly can. And considering LaBrie is a trained opera singer, his voice is alarmingly bad a lot of the time.
I'll agree with that, ACOS is a decent album, and his voice is cringeworthy, around 85% of the time.
I just previewed Illmatic, I don't know why everyone likes it so much. Pretty generic.
Yeah, it's decent, at very best.

Haha. I just don't like Rap/Hip Hop when the drums sound fake or the samples are too much in the background. :p

Lord Abortion 03-30-2005 03:24 PM

No! It's one of the best avatars ever...

Illmatic 03-30-2005 03:28 PM
Haha. I just don't like Rap/Hip Hop when the drums sound fake or the samples are too much in the background. :p
The drums aren't fake...those are jazz samples.

I don't think "generic" is the right word to use for it. There is no album that sounds like it. And I love the minimal production on it...it's kind of gritty and low-key, the perfect counterpart to the glamorized G-Funk that the West Coast was making.

ATM 03-30-2005 03:28 PM
No! It's one of the best avatars ever...
ATTN: ATM

Were you the one who liked that E. Town Concrete song? I have another you might like, if you want.

Ignore this if you were the one who didn't like it.

Illmatic 03-30-2005 03:59 PM

I thought it was spelled "jizz".

OK, today was the most useless day EVAR

I had NO lessons today.

I played guitar, worked out Hotel California on piano and spent the rest of the day reading Tintin books.

A good day, actually.
