I remember reading in most of my guitar magazines on the 10th anniversary of Cliffs death that he did the intro to Damage inc.
I trust this to be true but we wern't there I 'spose! R.I.P. Cliff Burton |
They played Holier Than Thou in dublin two years ago, it ****in rocked!
A guitar can reach that low if with a Whammy pedal. you just have to set the pitch right, but it is played on bass. they did the whole Master Of Puppets album this summer in dublin, and Rob played the intro to Orion on his on. It was ****in sweet! |

Yeah, I did. Kickass show. I knew they were going to play the MoP album because I had read about it before I left for Download and when I saw the album cover on the screens, I knew what was coming. :D |

its sad that you judge someone by how much money they have and not by the person they are. |
its sad that you judge someone by how much money they have and not by the person they are.
Nope. I just felt like pointing it out to you. But since you're banned now... I just found out that with the S&M DVD you can listen to just the band or just the orchestra, I never knew that, that's so cool! |
That's one of the reasons I wanted to get the DVD.
But I never got around to it :( and now I can't find my S&M CD1. |
I never got it because I was always broke. It think it's quite expensive. I'll get it when I get a job. I've seen the Nothing Else Matters one and I love that version.

Haha, that's what I meant by never got around to it. No Leaf Clover is probably my favourite track from S&M. |
Didn't they write that especially for that gig?
I really like it too, especially the freight train bit. |
I've been listening to "The Other New Song" a lot lately. I'm starting to really like it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ5bh4FkAxc That version specifically. Even with the whoaaaaaas and yeeeeeeeahs. The part when they do it after the main solo it acutally sounds pretty badass I think. |
i saw them at donnington, it was frickin awesome. definetly the best performance. i made sure i saw arch enemy and opeth, bodom werent there though :(
i never knew u could listen to the band/orchestra on their own on S&M, how do ya do it? I like it whne they play for whom the bell tolls live, simple song but i like it just because of when all the lights go off during one of the verses. |
Didn't they write that especially for that gig?

Really? I didn't know that.
METALLICA will release a DVD collection of all the promotional videos it has made, entitled "The Videos 1989-2004", on December 5 in North America (one day earlier internationally).
Commented the band in a posting on its web site: "We've been getting requests for many years to release all the promotional videos on DVD and it's finally happening! In addition to every video we've ever made, for the first time ever, the '2 of One' release (which up until now has only been available on VHS) will be available on DVD. Also included is 'Mama Said', which never aired in North America, maybe not even anywhere in the world, and a few little extras such as 'The Unforgiven' theatrical version and the 'Some Kind Of Monster' film trailer. Plus, all the audio has been re-mixed in 5.1 surround sound. "Look for the DVD at your favorite music store on December 4 in most of the world, December 5 in North America. Keep an eye on the Metallica.com store for more details on how you can pre-order your copy...coming soon!" "The Videos 1989-2004" track listing: 01. One (7:41) 02. Enter Sandman (5:28) 03. The Unforgiven (6:21) 04. Nothing Else Matters (6:24) 05. Wherever I May Roam (6:05) 06. Sad But True (5:26) 07. Until It Sleeps (4:32) 08. Hero Of The Day (4:30) 09. Mama Said (4:51) 10. King Nothing (5:26) 11. The Memory Remains (4:37) 12. The Unforgiven II (6:33) 13. Fuel (4:35) 14. Turn The Page (5:49) 15. Whiskey In The Jar (4:43) 16. No Leaf Clover (5:33) 17. I Disappear (4:28) 18. St. Anger (5:50) 19. Frantic (4:55) 20. The Unnamed Feeling (5:29) 21. If most of it is music videos I wouldn't bother getting that. They probably couldn't release a DVD now that would top Live Shit:Binge and Purge imo.

So pumped, just fixed my Ibanez, I now have two guitars! :p
I was getting bored of the PS-6 :upset: |
The Mama said video was never released?
I've seen it on MTV2. |
The Mama said video was never released?

Yeah, it's really nothing special, just James in the back of a car in a studio with a tape playing backgrounds as if the cars driving round.
It's probably on Youtube. |

Hey, I have a cheap Fender Frontman amp, and an Ibanez RG series guitar (Don't know what model exactly, but it has 2 pickups, 6 strings, tremolo, tone and volume knobs etc, I think it's a beginner's guitar), I still have my Jackson PS-6, but this Ibanez is so much lighter and easier to carry around, I'm thinking of using it more...
What's a good thrash sound setting for my amp, if you guys know (I'm sure someone will :)), something heavy, sort of like Disposable Heroes tone... Well, as close a sound as possible... |

 Sorry, I just found that part hilarious. :D |
Well tbh it only has 5 atm, but I thought there was an RG series guitar that did have 7 strings?
