I don't see the need.
I think a Classic Rock sub-forum would be wicked
There's no need or purpose for one.

Zepphead101 08-04-2005 07:51 PM

I love Zeppelin and pink floyd:
Led Zeppelin, The who, America, Pink Floyd, ZZ top, Eric Clapton, Don Mclean(American Pie), Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Stevie ray vaughn. So i like mostley classic and folkish blues.

Illmatic 08-04-2005 07:52 PM

Who is Led Zeppelin?

Walrus Gumboot 08-04-2005 07:53 PM

Usefull: No. Wicked: Yes.

I kind of see this thread as it's own small forum. A classic rock forum wouldn't make any sense. It would make sense to make different rock and metal forums though.
Panama Red is great. Have you heard the s/t though?
Yea, I own and love the s/t
Can you upload The Family that Plays Together by Spirit? :)

How is that Electric Prunes album? I have yet to go searching for it because I haven't heard many opinions on it. What's your take?
I could probably get it up tonight, and I haven't even gotten to the Electric Prunes album yet. I'll let you know how it goes. I figured you especially might be interested in the Spirit albums, Easter Everywhere, and the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band unless you've already heard them.
Happy Birthday!
That sounds like my deal, this year I get an mp3 player :D
If today is your birthday Lunch, it appears that you are exactly 2 days older than me
I saved up myself and bought a Creative Zen earlier this year, and my birthday was on July 31st.

/long post that had little to do with Classic rock, sorry.

JonG 08-04-2005 08:25 PM

Why do all the noobs reply to the first post from B0nz0?

Spirit - The Family that Plays Together:

Very interesting album, a bit softer than 12 Dreams but definitely worth it.

I'm 15, and 16 in October (8th).

I never owned an ACDC shirt. The pictures I posted had me wearing my Eat a Peach shirt and my Steal Your Face shirt.

I've posted two pictures of myself. In one picture my face was not visable, and in the other a camera was covering my face; each picture was kind of old. They were posted on Br3ad Man's forums; I deleted them, and I think his forums has been shut down.

A Classic Rock subforum wouldn't be good. It would break up our community.

Wha..wha...what? 15? Almost 16

I was kidding about the AC/DC shirt, you're as old as me :|

I believe it is also Harry Potter's birthday

/useless

Is anyone here into John Scofield? I have found "A-Go-Go" in my basement, it's pretty groovy

EDIT: I could have sworn that you were 18, Moon  My memory fails me. Here I come nursing home

The last review is by "Illmatic" !!! The imposter gave The White Album 1/5 stars. Atleast I hope it was an imposter.

Lunch 08-04-2005 10:07 PM

Indeed it is Harry Potter's birthday.

Some (most) of you have probably seen this. A large mix of music, lots of classic rock.

http://www.thewhoitalia.com/multimedia.htm

That's a semi-jackpot. Lots and lots of live Who. Most of it is poor, poor sound quality, and some of them are only snippets of songs. Either way, it's good place to look around.

np: Don't try to lay no boogie woogie on the king of rock and roll - Long John Baldry

MBS 08-04-2005 11:13 PM

I remember the "Who's AC/DC?" thing. That was fun :).

Regulars: What do you think was one of the best moments in CR thread history?

We should compile a scrapbook.

Lunch 08-04-2005 11:14 PM

When that kid got group owned.

MBS 08-04-2005 11:20 PM
When that kid got group owned.
You mean in the chat when we all pretended we were emo and he said Kashmir came out in the 60's?

Ah, I had that chat on a notepad file, but I seem to have deleted it.

Our CR chats debates/quizzes were ace too, those were really fun.

Lunch 08-04-2005 11:22 PM

That one too, but I meant the one in this thread. I don't remember the particular case, but I remember Gilmour/KingofDudes quoted all the ownings and said "Group ownage". A classic moment in CR thread history.

MBS 08-04-2005 11:41 PM

I'm starting from Page 200 and compiling a list of good posts.

Wish me luck.

Lunch 08-04-2005 11:41 PM

You can do it. We believe.

Don't forget Thickasabrick's drunken rampage.

magicbus 08-04-2005 11:42 PM

I searched for "group ownage" but I couldn't find the post.

Lunch, your article on Cream could become and "official" Cream thread

Lunch 08-04-2005 11:45 PM

It would never be "official", but it would be nice to get some discussion in there.

magicbus 08-04-2005 11:48 PM
It would never be "official", but it would be nice to get some discussion in there.
Yea I mean it could serve as one. Cream discussion would always go there.
