Just before we had to read Antigone by Sophocles. It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't great either.

EDIT: Aliens need a name and a home planet.
We read Eodipus (or however you spell it) and Antigone. Boring *** plays, if you ask me.

We're reading Beowulf now. It's so much cooler than Sopphacles' plays.
EDIT: Aliens need a name and a home planet.
Quaglu.

From the planet Ozarq

Make the planet be Cambria. You can't go wrong with band references either.

Alright.

Newo is a pretty good name I think. Except it'll be a guy.

James, I'll make a character named Linford in honor of you.

Then, there will be Wilhelm, Troy, Sadie, Morrissey, more later.

EDIT:
Jon: Quaglu can be in there too. The Ozarquians will be the rivals of the Cambrians.

EDIT2:
It will start off with "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..."

BridgeToSolace 11-03-2005 08:11 PM

This is bound to be a horrible, horrible story.

B 11-03-2005 08:13 PM

Lawl!

Creative writing has always been one of my strong points. Except, my stories are either really good. Or really suck. I have no in between.

Eh, its for English, and it's just to make us use the vocab, so it won't really matter.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-03-2005 08:15 PM

I got a cut on the inside of my nose and it hurts really bad. We are reading Julius Caesar right now and it is pretty bad.

B 11-03-2005 08:17 PM

Julius Caeser sucks. We're reading Macbeth. It's better than Julius Caeser but our teacher is ruining the whole thing. And whenever I try to point out the flaws in the story the teacher just says "People in those times weren't as critical as you"

DepthsOfDreams555 11-03-2005 08:18 PM

HAHA man that is pathetic. My teacher has been saying that those people were really critical. We don't read Macbeth until our senior year.

B 11-03-2005 08:21 PM

I am over analyzing the story, but Shakespheare is supposed to be the greatest play writer of all time, and I certainly do not agree because Macbeth alone has so many flaws and plot holes that to me it barely makes sense.

PDWAB 11-03-2005 08:23 PM

Hey have you guys written in your Journals yet?

Mute Print 11-03-2005 08:23 PM

Shakespeare is incredibly overrated.
HAHA man that is pathetic. My teacher has been saying that those people were really critical. We don't read Macbeth until our senior year.
No.

My English teacher last year made a point of saying that there's a flaw in Julius Ceaser while we read the story. (Brutus' wife was told by someone about the assassination attempt, when the time frame of the story made it impossible that the character told her. Or that anyone told her."

Little things like that weren't obssessed over.

B 11-03-2005 08:24 PM
Hey have you guys written in your Journals yet?
Journals?

Brian: I agree 100%.

Spence/Joel: Too fast for you :p

Jon: I don't remember much about Caeser, but Macbeth just has too many for it to be considered "one of Shakespheares greatest works".
Hey have you guys written in your Journals yet?
I had to write in one two years ago.

Once I realized she never checked it, I stopped writing in it.
James, I'll make a character named Linford in honor of you.
This makes me happy.

Especially as Linford was my band's first name \m/

I think we read it at the end of the year.

I find his love stories silly. Romeo and Juliet never said anything to each other except "I love you, but we can't love each other because of our families. Lets kill ourselves so we can get married".

Such a poorly developed and poorly portrayed relationship.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-03-2005 08:29 PM

Man, I'm really freaked out. A girl from my school just IM'ed me and asked "if someone like spilled their heart onto paper and then gave it to a guy, is it normal for them to throw it away?"

She then started asking me about cutting as a way of coping with stress. She says it's all hypothetical, but I don't really know. I hardly know this girl, but it's kind of worrying me. :-\

PDWAB 11-03-2005 08:33 PM

bahahahaha, what a horrible idea. I love it.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-03-2005 08:34 PM

Thats kind of messed up...

B 11-03-2005 08:36 PM

Zach: My friend is doing one of those "I hate myself" things right now too. It sucks because she's an awesome person.

Strike while the iron is hot and comfort her so she gets drawn to you, and then you're in.

Some people do different things.

The fact that she's asking you about cutting means she wants attention.

Don't give it her. Show that cutting doesn't give you attention, and she wont do it no more.

Unless she's as ****ed up as Vince. In which case, pray.

Mute Print 11-03-2005 08:37 PM

I hardly know this girl at all, so I don't know if she is messed up, or if she is just looking for attention or what. I've never even talked to her in person before.

BridgeToSolace 11-03-2005 08:40 PM
I hardly know this girl at all, so I don't know if she is messed up, or if she is just looking for attention or what. I've never even talked to her in person before.
Then it's not your problem. Don't talk to her.

That's what I'd do, anyway. Then again, I'm cold and cynical.

Permanent Solution 11-03-2005 08:40 PM

Yeah, if it's a girl and this seems like a sudden thing she's probably attention whoring, so you can either give it to her, and I mean really give her attention, like overwhelm her with it and she'll love it and get over it, or ignore her and risk her getting more depressed. If she's like me then it's best to get rid of her ASAP and let her burden some other poor soul.

Mute Print 11-03-2005 08:42 PM

Well she's stopped talking to me, so whatever. I never have things like that happen to me, so it caught me off gaurd. I only have a few people who I ever talk to, and none of them have issues like that...

Permanent Solution 11-03-2005 08:43 PM

I do :)

But I know what you mean. I used to not know any weird people, but then once it was clear I was weird...I started attracting them :-\

I've talked through a couple people on this forum about stupid crap like that.

What'd it teach me?

People do silly things. And I don't want to hear about it.
