Tennis FTW!

Electric Requiem 10-15-2006 09:10 PM
;13448424']not true. catching takes skill. defending a reciever takes skill. running the ball well takes skill, and being able to take down a large running back who's twice your size and running takes some skill.
even being a fatass lineman takes skill

LoneStarDrummer 10-15-2006 09:11 PM
well, If he is kicking from the left side of the field and is a righty kicker then that is understandable, that angle is just too great to the wrong side
PAT are right down the middle though. there nothing wrong in missing a tough kick on occasion; it happens, but missing pat's is uncalled for.

LoneStarDrummer 10-15-2006 09:12 PM

soccer is by far the best sport of all time and i will accept no other alternative.

Aaron 10-15-2006 09:13 PM

Running into someone is not skillful.
Being run into is not skillful.

goalieman92 10-15-2006 09:13 PM

taking down a runningback doesn't take skill, a it requires is taking out the knees.

Aaron 10-15-2006 09:14 PM

123.

LoneStarDrummer 10-15-2006 09:15 PM

have you ever tried to go head up with a guy running full speed whose twice your size? getting him down once isn't the hard part. try doing it the whole game without killing yourself in the process.

i never said it takes great skill, but it takes some skill non-the-less.

Electric Requiem 10-15-2006 09:15 PM

soccers not as manly as football or hockey

456.

wait that's my comment. man, i'm always right aren't i?

Aaron 10-15-2006 09:17 PM

It's not really skill. It's technique. Once it's learned, that's it. Football [soccer] is constant skill. There are thousands of techniques and styles to use, and it's all based on the individual. American football is just a team working together doing basic actions. Football is much more sophisticated. That's why the world play it, and only the United States play American Football.

If by manly you mean manusexual.

LoneStarDrummer 10-15-2006 09:18 PM
soccers not as manly as football or hockey
[sarcasm] yeah. that's why it's not the sport with the highest injury rate and considered by some the be the most dangerous sport in the world. because it's such a tame sport where nobody get's roughed up. [/sarcasm]

Electric Requiem 10-15-2006 09:19 PM

american football has much more strategy then real football

Aaron 10-15-2006 09:19 PM

It's not called soccer!

i only call it soccer to avoid confusion. for now on i'll say futbol.

Electric Requiem 10-15-2006 09:22 PM

I could compare lacrosse to a more violent version of real football

Josiah 10-15-2006 09:22 PM

Lacross is awesome as well..!

But yet your argument was based on the shear size. Not skill.

No, it does take skill to be good at football. But your skill will never overcome the sheer size needed.

Besides, american football is a wussy game - take everything you say, remove the pads and absurd stopping of the game every 30 seconds. Oh then you'd have rugby, now THAT is a brutal sport.

Aaron 10-15-2006 09:23 PM

Lacrosse is a real game! I got hospitalised playing that. Is great.

Electric Requiem 10-15-2006 09:24 PM

rugby is well awesome

Drum Phil 10-15-2006 09:24 PM

Ah rugby. How i used to love that game in school.

123 man! Try being 65kg and being a lock. You NEED skill in a contested scrum if your that person [ie. me]. Rugby players are the most fit players around. 100% muscle and quick.

White Riot! 10-15-2006 09:25 PM
I got hospitalised playing that.
So this equates to....

exactly. i was talking about a smaller guy, like most safeties, taking down a larger guy. not ever guy of normal size can take down a larger man.

either way futbol still reigns above all other sports.

White Riot! 10-15-2006 09:27 PM

soccer/football is the beautiful game , the world game. the peoples game.

Drum Phil 10-15-2006 09:28 PM

And i hate it.

yeah but most of the world > you

Electric Requiem 10-15-2006 09:32 PM

the reason soccer is so popular is because all you need is a ball

LoneStarDrummer 10-15-2006 09:33 PM

nothing wrong with simplicity.

Josiah 10-15-2006 09:37 PM

All sports should use a golfball... just think of how the different ones would be changed!

LoneStarDrummer 10-15-2006 09:39 PM

that would make no sense. you couldn't play many sports. if you did you would be playing a gay *** sport.

Electric Requiem 10-15-2006 09:39 PM

I can picture a lot of broken badminton rackets

Drum Phil 10-15-2006 09:40 PM
All sports should use a golfball... just think of how the different ones would be changed!
Paintballing would be a barrel of laughs

Josiah 10-15-2006 10:09 PM

Haha yes that one would be bad..
;13448731']that would make no sense. you couldn't play many sports. if you did you would be playing a gay *** sport.
Nah.. think about it. Basketball wouldn't be so cool, though some unique ball handling tricks. Baseball - sheesh, those guys would be hitting 600+ I'm sure.Football would be fun... hahha
Soccer would have just got a lot friggin harder.

Also you know.. it's like a joke. Cause that would be hilarious to watch a bunch of athlete's goin after a tiny ball.

All you need for kickball is a ball...

So why aren't there massive kick ball leagues and championships?

I need to settle on some music to listen to.
I kind of want to listen to reggae, but I can't stand the Jah, drugs, and homophobia, and I want to listen to celtic, but I can't stand the bitter happiness, beer, and folksy aura.
WTF kind of reggae do you listen too?!
It's not really a big issue and I wasn't being entirely serious, because I don't really care. So if you were planning on jumping on my back and giving me a lecture about jamaican socio-economic poilitics, don't.

There was some big out rage with the gay activist assholes because like Elephant Man, Sizzla, and a couple other reggae/dancehall artists have homophobic lyrics and what not. And Jamaica is pretty anti-gay.

Josiah 10-15-2006 10:20 PM

*shrug* who'd of thought. My point was any music like that, it wouldn't matter the genere
i ain't neva heard no spittin on dem gays in da reggae muszic i b's listen too!

*ona side note, evolution being such a largely accepted theory, one would kind of see how 'homosexuality' is a bit on the de-evolving side, inabbility to reproduce scientificly speaking
