Where did you get a Green Man suit?

Did you beat up Charlie?
Where did you get a Green Man suit?

No, even easier! I just started tripping on acid and throwing balls in people's faces and BAM - I became Green Man.

(http://www.begreenman.com) Took me a while, but I eventually came across that site.

Spaceman Spiff 08-14-2009 03:27 PM

Yeah, there are places to order a Green Man suit.

I wore a homemade Charlie costume for my friend's birthday party a couple months ago or something. It wasn't very complicated. T-shirt, beard, messy hair, white pajama pants with lots of food stains, and a sock with a can inside to simulate a spray can.

I know a picture exists, I'll try to find it.

Did you buy the non-toxic kind? Cause I think you want the toxic kind.

That's awesome. I'd love to see it.

Efrim 08-14-2009 11:24 PM

move out day tomorrow. I haven't packed anything though.

Sablate McNuff 08-14-2009 11:33 PM

Start packing, d00d. It'll make tomorrow go by a LOT quicker.

Efrim 08-14-2009 11:37 PM

i thought about it, but all i have is the clothes on my floor, my bicycle, a mattress on the floor, books and my laptop. stuff all that in a bag or two and im out.
It'll be fun, like a challenge. I'll try to be done before 10am.

I I I I I know I shouldn't be doing this...

gaslight 08-15-2009 08:09 AM

If it's in perfect working order and works with your head/combo, and you can get it under $600 I say might be a good idea.

funkyhoney 08-15-2009 08:17 AM

I was going to say I was willing to bid up to $500 at the moment, 600 in a pinch. It basically is the cabinet 410 of what is in my combo at the moment, even the same era. It's near me too, insane luck... but 1300 then 600 then another 600 in one week... eep.

My unit is "250w RMS" and 500max but I'm not sure what impedance that is! It's only got 2 8ohm outputs, one of which powers the cab, so I'm imagining it'd be 250w @ 8 ohms. To my knowledge if I was running 2 8 ohm loads it'd be a 4ohm impedance correct? Meaning more than 250w, meaning 300w max cab would die.

However... I'm probably wrong.

funkyhoney 08-15-2009 08:29 AM

From manual:

Speaker Outputs
The two speaker output jack sockets are intended for connection to either a single 8 Ohm cabinet plugged into one
socket, two 8 Ohm cabinets with one plugged into each socket or a single 4 Ohm cabinet plugged into one socket only.
With combo amplifiers using the SMX300 output stage only one extension cabinet of 8 Ohms may be connected to the
spare socket.

If I was to take that the maximum possible output to an 8ohm cabinet was 250wRMS I'd have to say that a 300w rated cab would be more or less the ideal choice. I'm going to hazard a guess that I would be fine if I were to purchase this cab.

gaslight 08-15-2009 08:50 AM

If you're putting out 250w at 8 Ohms, I'd be a bit worried about having a cab rated for 300w at 8 Ohms because it means you can never fully power that cabinet.

I don't think it would be a disaster but I'm pretty sure it isn't the best situation. Though, my 500W Aguilar head is run into an Epifani 212 rated for 700w RMS and everything is fine, their site says the cab is sweet for anything 400w to 2000w so there's a bit of wiggle room.

See what edgebass thinks.

funkyhoney 08-15-2009 08:57 AM

I agree, I will make a thread right now and hope he sees it in the next 14 hours.

gaslight 08-15-2009 09:00 AM

Nice.

Settling in for what I hope is a blissfully stupid sci-fi B movie on Fox. Good times.

funkyhoney 08-15-2009 09:07 AM

Is Bruce Campbell in it?

I might hit the hay, I've slept a good 3 hours in the last 36. Spontaneous trips to the coast to go to the casino are almost always a bad idea.

gaslight 08-15-2009 09:11 AM

Yeah casinos are an awful idea. Unless you're running one, because the house always wins.

funkyhoney 08-15-2009 09:14 AM

I should start up a casino, you're right! That'll cover my debts ;)

I can't think of a witty name for my band/music blog. I'm losing my perspicacity!!!!

gaslight 08-15-2009 09:14 AM

Hmm. Does it have to be a witty name?

funkyhoney 08-15-2009 09:18 AM

Well no, but something mildly humorous and relating to music and/or me would be better I think. I'm also starting one about the liquor industry after a positive response to my slander of sub-standard products on myspace.

Somehow 'Anecdotes and PT boats' doesn't work as a title in this situation. I like my titles to rhyme.

gaslight 08-15-2009 09:22 AM

Hazey Recollections for both blogs :p

funkyhoney 08-15-2009 09:23 AM

Hazy.

That's not a half bad idea hahahahaha.

I will actually use that for the music one. I'll come up with some kind of liquor pun for the other.

Anyway I said I'd go to sleep some time ago. If I don't go now I may never sleep again.

gaslight 08-15-2009 09:25 AM

Nah leave the extra E so you can trademark it.

/Made a mistake :upset:

funkyhoney 08-15-2009 09:26 AM

I probably could get away with it as artistic justification...

gaslight 08-15-2009 09:29 AM

People have gotten away with far worse under that same banner.

gaslight 08-15-2009 10:36 AM

Well, I can safely say that Monster Ark is a stupid movie.

Spaceman Spiff 08-15-2009 10:48 AM

Is it like Noah's Ark, but with monsters instead of animals?

gaslight 08-15-2009 11:03 AM

Yeah I won't get much into it but you're basically on the money.

It's your stock standard Sci-Fi Channel style of movie where some dweebs unearth a monster and have to defeat it.

Bad movies amuse me with their badness though, there's a stereotypical black marine sergeant in there who is hilarious.

Spaceman Spiff 08-15-2009 11:19 AM

Nice. I love watching sci-fi B movies. I saw this one where this crew was on Mars and they were fighting some sort of sand monster. Every time they showed the monster it was the same footage, the same shot of it moving/coming at them. They finally defeated it with a rocket launcher. Did I mention that they could breathe while on Mars?

Spaceman Spiff 08-15-2009 11:26 AM

I finally bought FFVII on my PS3 last night. I'm just about to start a new game. :D
It's been a few years since I've played it and I'm pumped.

I also bought Marvel VS. Capcom 2, which they just released on it. I've been unable to find that game for so long, I'm glad they decided to put it on the online store.

gaslight 08-15-2009 11:26 AM

Haha it's the best stuff.

Bad CGI is always a lot of fun.

"Komodo vs Cobra" is a great one, it's about a Jurassic Park style island where genetic experiments have produced humongous versions of the Komodo Dragon and King Cobra.

That's awesome man. I've had so much on my plate lately that my PS3 has fallen by the wayside but I'm going to get mad back into it when God Of War 3 comes out. There's a bunch of other games I'll get too once the time is right and the money is spare.

I've been getting my videogame fix on my PS2 with Rugby 08. I wish I had a friend who played it too because I am reasonably convinced that I am extremely good at it.

Spaceman Spiff 08-15-2009 11:32 AM

I really don't play video games too much these days. I work a lot, and when I'm not at work I spend most of my time playing music.

However, with these two incredible games, I'll be playing a bit more. And I really want to get Dead Space, which is this awesome FPS horror/survival game. I played it a bunch at my friend's house and it's a great game. It's got great music that really adds to the intesity because this game is terrifying.

gaslight 08-15-2009 11:36 AM

Yeah man I too am very interested in getting my hands on Dead Space. Did you play Fallout 3? I loved that.

I really shouldn't let myself make time for videogames but I use them as a break when I'm working at home or after a shift at work. Good times.

Epidemechanical 08-15-2009 01:06 PM

lol dude the sci fi channel was a pitch from a voriphile (someone who has a sexual fetish regarding consumption and digestion)
