The bad part? These are the final tests for my high school career. They determine future jobs and university admission.

The good part? i dont plan to go to uni or get a job >_>

Eh...just go in there and do the best that you can. Do they still hold over if you decide to go back to uni?

Not if you go in as a muture age student (21 and over) which i might do. Depends what happens after school i guess.

Aaron 10-31-2006 11:00 PM

I got bitten like that. You still need a UAI @ mature age now or you have to go to college before hand.

Fuck. In that case uni can go burn in hell haha.

Ill just buy a lotto ticket every day and pray alot.

Aaron 10-31-2006 11:04 PM

It's not too bad UOW has a college on site, and its a 13-week course. $2k for the course though, but it guarantees entry to uni as long as you pass.

thelowsoundofbass 10-31-2006 11:08 PM

Pluperfect_Arson 10-31-2006 11:29 PM

But, sir, I am from the great land of England! Our king is, surely, the best, and everyone better well know it!

BenJammin 10-31-2006 11:31 PM

I bite my thumb at thee, sir. And I bite my thumb at thine country and thine king.

Pluperfect_Arson 10-31-2006 11:32 PM

You wish your country was as great as ours! We hold all the power in the world, good sir. Would you care to join me for a spot of tea?

BenJammin 10-31-2006 11:34 PM

Why, yes, but only if I may withhold from the addition of sugar in my tea.

Pluperfect_Arson 10-31-2006 11:41 PM

Oh, why certainly. I shall tell the maid to not put a sprinkle of sugar in your tea! Care for a lemon cookie?

BenJammin 10-31-2006 11:43 PM
Oh, why certainly. I shall tell the maid to not put a sprinkle of sugar in your tea! Care for a lemon cookie?
Yes, yes. That would be most delightful.

In other, non-British-accent, news, I just wrote my first poem in, like... 3 years. I've moved past angsty teen poetry to overly pretentious poetry. I think progress has been made.

Pluperfect_Arson 10-31-2006 11:45 PM

 I was growing tired of the British-ness. I didn't even know where it was going. :amaze:

Also, let me read it! I haven't written poetry in forever. The last time I wrote poetry, I accidentally wrote it about suicide, though I wasn't even thinking about it. The only note the teacher wrote on the paper was "Are you ok?" Then I was sent to the school psychologist. I was going to art school at the time, too. :upset:

Okay, one sec. I have to take a screen capture and upload it to photobucket, because my poem is so pretentious that mx won't allow me to format the spaces properly.

Pluperfect_Arson 10-31-2006 11:53 PM

What the heck?

So many spaces!

I am not sure what to think of it. O_O

Az_Holl 10-31-2006 11:55 PM

Its almost a profile of a guy with a pinochio type nose...
What the heck?

 For what it's worth, if I told you what it was about, it would make total sense.

The spaces are just a way of conveying the way I'd say it out loud and it adds a certain visual appeal to the poem.

Though I confess I purposely structured the second stanze to look like a 'window.'
