lololololololol we so gay.

pixiesfanyo 11-24-2005 10:15 PM

I listened to Notes as a whole.

And it's not as bad as I initially thought.

It's got some good stuff.

I don't know.

I can see it being a very big grower.

Kind of like Thrice.

SubtleDagger 11-24-2005 11:27 PM
Oh, yeah, I have a few songs and In On The Kill Taker already, I was just wondering which is their more emo stuff.
While we're discussing Fugazi, what albums are I'm So Tired, Turkish Disco and Do You Like Me from? It annoys me not knowing these things...

I have a song or two off 13 songs. I might get another Fugazi album when I have money, they're nice and cheap:).
The earlier stuff is sort of emo-rooted, the rest is post-hardcore but definitely still great.

deadohiosky9 11-24-2005 11:54 PM
I listened to the new Hot Cross tracks again. They're really good it's just Billy sounds bored.
i thought that at first too, but it grows on you. When you're used to Cryonics, his vocals sound really disappointing on the new tracks. It just takes a couple of listens to get into it. Its still really emotional, hes just not screaming anymore. Its more shouty/sung type stuff. At some points he does get a little screamy though. Its just different, it grew on me. Listen to Tacoma, if you haven't heard it i'll send it over AIM.

Wow 11-24-2005 11:56 PM

Billy thought he'd never join another hardcore band after Saetia, so he's probably been pretty bored for a while. He'll probably be done for good after the next record.

deadohiosky9 11-24-2005 11:57 PM

I don't think he's bored. If he was bored he would leave Hot Cross and try to make some money instead of running around playing shows and wasting gas.

Then there would be riots and he'd be assassinated. I'd rather be bored than dead.

Actually he probably is bored but feels he still has something to offer before giving up. Just what I think.

deadohiosky9 11-25-2005 12:03 AM

its possible.

Yeah they have a lot of great songs. I'm really liking Waiting Room right now.
CTTS have totaly grown on me. Go figure.

RetiredAt21 11-25-2005 03:41 PM

CTTS r00lz. I could never really "get into" Fugazi. I mean, I like them and everything, but I just can't get into them.

Nice avatar Jimbob. :)

whiteminority 11-25-2005 04:06 PM

Circle Takes the Square owns.

Yeah, I like them. The vocals are still just a little bit grating at times, but ah well, nothing's perfect. I like Fugazi, they can be a bit... I don't know, maybe obscure, at times, but overall I like them.
Thanks, I made it myself...

deadohiosky9 11-25-2005 09:00 PM

modern life is war are damn good.

tornpictures 11-26-2005 05:43 AM

Yeah only the lyrics are reallly really ****ty and the singer sounds like he's laying a brick when he screams.

Berserker! 11-26-2005 06:09 AM

Chiel is a liar. Their lyrics are among the best in hardcore.

tornpictures 11-26-2005 06:46 AM

Buulllshiiitt

TakeWarning 11-26-2005 07:59 AM

MLIW are awesome, great lyrics too. But yeah, the singer's voice is kinda weird.

fucking lie dude. Modern Life is War own.

pixiesfanyo 11-26-2005 12:14 PM

Pg. 99's members have such goofy voices.

deadohiosky9 11-26-2005 12:35 PM

i think MLIW write some decent lyrics, especially compared to some other bands in the genre.

RetiredAt21 11-26-2005 01:57 PM

MLIW have awesome lyrics. I especially love the lyrics in First And Ellen.

deadohiosky9 11-26-2005 02:20 PM

first and ellen rules. in other news, sinking steps rising eyes are f.ucking awesome.

Wow 11-26-2005 03:54 PM

Nah, dude. Nah. MLiW lyrics are mediocre.

They still own, though.

cobert 11-26-2005 04:06 PM

MLiW are alright, they got a little boring to me after a few listens.

And on fugazi, the only CD i have by them is 13 songs, and about half of it owns. Ian is kind of monotone sometimes, though.

RetiredAt21 11-26-2005 04:22 PM

Ian straight up bores the s'hit out of me sometimes.

cobert 11-26-2005 04:27 PM

Yeah, some of the songs on it are waaaay repetitive.

Waiting Room, Bulldog Front, Suggestion, and Burning Too are the shi't, though.

Never said I didn't like them

whiteminority 11-27-2005 09:14 AM

well that description you gave confused me.

pixiesfanyo 11-27-2005 10:02 AM

The Argument is Fugazi's best.

Jeromes Dream is too good.

I only get in the mood for it like, once every two weeks. But they are so good at grind **** whatever **** core
