Nice, Stereolab are ace on the Ketchup. And the other bands have kewl album names so I bet they are good too.

So, I got the new White Stripes album. I got six tracks in before Jack White decided to **** out a ballad like the kind that ruined Elephant. But my those first six tracks were rather good. YOU COULD DANCE TO THEM!

Have you heard Horses in the Sky yet?

Wanker 06-07-2005 09:59 PM
Have you heard Horses in the Sky yet?
Yup. Thanks to TalkingHead, I've got all their records.

Godbless Our Dead Marines is a good song. Very upbeat (well, half of it)... probably one of the most upbeat moments in ASMZ's music ever.

My favorite ASMZ song right now is probably Sow Some Lonesome Corner So Many Flowers Bloom.

Bandaid 06-08-2005 12:38 AM

Charles Mingus - Ah Um
Mclusky - The Difference Between You and Me Is I'm Not On Fire
System Of a Down - Mezmerize

Yeah, I've woken up to The Best Of album playing on my cd alarm clock the last few days - good stuff.

What I've been loving today:

Belle & Sebastian - Pushman Bar To Open Wounds
The Books - Lemon Of Pink (I love this album right now - The Books are turning into one of my favourite bands)
Fly Pan Am - no album - just a collection of songs on my pc.

I think I'm starting to appreciate Pere Ubu as a band who makes music I can enjoy. They're so intensely weird.

Yes Yes. I think the 2 mainly acousic songs off HitS (Teddy Roosevelt and some other one) don't really do justice to A Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra La La Band but God Bless Our Dead Marines and the others make up for it.

ATM 06-08-2005 09:23 PM

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

YDload 06-08-2005 10:08 PM

The title track to Trail of Dead's "Source Tags and Codes." The way the song ends in that great big wall of sound is just perfect.

Aereogramme - A Story in White

It's been a while since I've played this (properly, anyway). I need to fill in their more recent albums.
