I got the same e-mail as Cocaine. Gonna start looking for the leaked audio now.
Oh no, I just got the e-mail :( I have already listened to the leaked audio, I love it, I don't know what everybody's bitching about.. although I heard more bitching about the DVD editing.. which is.. well, there are reasons why the editing and the recording itself is amateurish, just read this interview: http://bringbacktheboombox.com/main/?p=825
Anyone notice the little lyrical switch-up in Limb From Limb? Heh.
New interview with Tim:

anybody get the new album yet?
The new album they haven't started recording yet?
Yeah I've had it for months. |
I thought Gallop Meets the Earth was supposed to come out this month.
That's a live album.
****. oops.
I finally listened to Gallop Meets The Earth. I am deeply satisfied.
I have not yet listened to it. just satisfied, or is it even worth getting?
They're one of my favorite bands so IMO worth getting. Really though they sound great.
where was the show recorded?
Somewhere in Canada, cause he said "It's good to be back in Canada."
Sound Academy in Toronto. It's a huge place.
their home turf
they're actually from a town about 45 minutes outside of Toronto but yeah close enough
Bullsh*t!!
It's 43 minutes. |

I meant home turf as in the "it's good to be back in Canada" |
got my package today deerp
The tour footage is...disappointing. I was hoping that they were saving some of the funnier video for the DVD. With the exception of their tomfoolery at the Golden Gods it seems like they did the opposite.
Way, way too many effects. Incredibly hard to follow show and there was no bass at all, really.
The review was right, Gallop needs more "Turn the Soonest to the Sea." I know they don't play it live often, but if you're doing a live CD/DVD I think it would behoove you to include the song with the best sing along part. Palms Read was a good idea, Turn the soonest... would have been better.
Yeah, but I get the impression that they didn't go into the show with a DVD in mind. Like, it seems more as though they had the show and said, "hey, we should film it!" rather than "we should do a show to film for a DVD".
I cap'd the Jurassic Park theme part from the end of Palms Read. So good. http://file2.ws/jurassicpark I enjoy the live CD a lot more than the DVD. Sound is way better mixed (the bass might be better than on Fortress as far as audibility goes) and it doesnt give me a headache. |
DVD was a bit disappointing to me, but I still appreciate it for the "Hey! Protest has a real DVD!" aspect of it.
I was at the show, but I had completely forgotten about the Jurassic Park thing until I watched the DVD. They definitely didn't go into the show with a DVD in mind... If they did, they would have played a longer-than-normal set. Seen them play so many 45-60 minute headlining sets that I wonder if they'll ever do a full one at this point. |
Rody sounds like Glenn Danzing on the new Fall of Troy album.
First listen remarks: The new album is hilariously bad. |
Let's hope Erak doesn't "return the favour" and **** on the new Protest record with his tone-deaf whining.

Holy ****...I thought you were joking. He does! And he just makes Erak sound like an even bigger fag when he finishes. |
Managed to find one of the songs from the DVD on youtube. Looks disappointing.
The live CD is great but the DVD is a headache.
