Damn they really need to go back to 6 strings Eb

Bazarov 07-01-2006 08:54 PM

Eb is great.

Against Miik! 07-01-2006 10:07 PM

So Slayer, live, is pretty killer. But Lamb Of God stole the show.

haha. I heard that new song. It was a piss poor excuse for music.

ATPB = Great
AOTW= Decent and a alright listen sometimes
new song: It sounds like over done killswitch. tbh. Hello hot topic!

It's that "sacrament" something or other tune. They can't decide whether to attempt DM or fall into generic metalcore. So a cross between will be perfect for hot topic.

I'm not the biggest fan of there music, but they work a crowd. You know how usually the crowd is pretty calm like towards the back, then theres a few moshes and some people going crazy up front? We'll they had the whole crowd going nuts. Seriously you could not find safety anywhere. It was by far the largest pit i've ever seen.

Bodom was good too.

I'm a Bodom fanboy. Their setlist is pathetic. Only songs exciting me live are Silent Night Bodom Night and Angels Don't Kill. I saw CoB last fall and it was epic. LONGGGGGG setlist. I don't care about Mastodon. I'm quite happy about seeing Thine Eyes Bleed. I didn't even know who they were. Then I heard Cold Victim and dl their album. Big fan now. Slayer. I'm VERY happy about seeing

Thine Eyes Bleed were awful, live at least. I didn't like it. Mastadon were pretty good. I think TEB, Mastadon, and Bodom all played like 5 or 6 songs, LoG played maybne 8 or 9, then Slayer went on for a while. I wish Bodom played longer for sure. They were good though. It was Alexis bday yesterday too.

Indeed. So how many hours was the show?

What made TEB awful?

I think they fell victim to some bad mixing. It was basically just a wall of noise. The show started at 5:30 and probably went on till about 11. Time in between bands wasn't that long either. Kerry King probably had the largest rig i've ever seen. He had probably 7 or 8 Marshall half cabs stacked on top of eachother.

Hopefully Bodom and LOG stay on for the Australian leg

Hmm. I could see that, considering their sound.

How big were the pits and violent? List during each band, plzy.

If there's huge ones during LoG, I'll fuck up some hot topic LoG scenesters.

In order of most to least violent I would say:

1. LoG
2. Bodom
3. Slayer
4. Mastadon
5. TEB

TEB was the first band, and the crowd was still pretty scattered by then, so there wasn't really a lot goin on there. Slayer, I don't know, it was really intense, but I wouldn't exactly call it violent. For Bodom, I was chillin in my seat to get a rest, but it looked pretty good from what I saw. During LoG, I saw lots of blood and a broken arm.

^^ Stop trying to act cool.

I will try to go see Slayer if they come to Australia.

Lamb of God's ATPB is a fansatic album and I feel they are bashed a little too much, I personally really enjoy that album.

I HATE BAND SOUND GUYS who can't set up a good live show. They think loud is good! NO! Its not!

hahahaha. Nah. I go for the music. I just do that in pits.

Since I'm sure you want exact details,

Opening band- maybe some pit fun
supporting - more so
main act, not much if any.

Like when I saw CoB last fall

During Amon Amarth, I was headbanging like hell and some moshing.

Trivium- I was dying of bordem. tad of moshing. Mostly just standing there.

CoB- a bit of moshing for the first few tunes. Then I forced my way reallllllly close( i have pix) and watched them play.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-02-2006 12:55 AM

ah ok.

I'm Charming 07-02-2006 01:01 AM

Like during Slayer. I plan to be watching them play. Just find a close place near stage and stand/watch.

blue3 07-02-2006 01:29 AM

I wish I could do that. I think I'll be stuck at the back though.
