Haha thanks. I also have a Trevor Mcdonald poster and a Trevor Mcdonald t-shirt (two if you count the one I ruined). :)

Edit: If I could drive it would be no problem but my dad just refuses to drive that far for 'just a gig'.

You guys who saw Dream Theater, you're all really lucky. They better come to Philly on their '06 tour.

Quality stuff. Haha, where did you get a Trevor Mcdonald shirt from? I want one NOW!

Trev 10-27-2005 02:51 PM

I used a website where you can get your own custom t-shirts printed. The back says 'Trevor Forever'. :D

Then just this week I bought a plain red t-shirt and some iron on transfer paper and tried to make another, in the style of those Che Guevara t-shirts, the caption being 'Trevolution', but the transfer paper wasn't what it said it was, and I ended up with a big white A4 background, so ruined. :(
Pics on request :p

Trevor Forever! Classic:lol: You've got to keep them coming.
I agree. I worked out that for two Dream Theater gigs I've travelled close to 1500 miles (this is including return journeys, so I've went close to 750 to get there and close to 750 to get home). It's totally worth it for Dream Theater though.
Whereabouts are you from?? I'm in South Wales.

Deconstruction 10-27-2005 04:08 PM

Anyone have the Majesty demo?

shamed-angel 10-27-2005 04:09 PM

Yeh, I bought it off YTSE Jam.com It's alright, the first demo is better though. the Berkley Demos. They sound so much like Rush. And They cover YYz on it as well.

Jred250 10-27-2005 04:09 PM

I have e-mailed the following questions for you it will be a few days untill I get a reply probably but I will keep you posted.

I know Beatallica are coming to the U.K next year, I am not sure if Dream Theater are with them... Its a possibillity...

Any Ideas Stark Effect?

when are DT going to do a proper tour of the UK?

Mike, will you please, if not for yourself then for me, do another Transatlantic album?
Can you put my name on it?Please?

Ask if they plan to do another concept album.

shamed-angel 10-27-2005 04:10 PM

I meant can you put my name on the question. Not can you put my name on the album.

Think about how cool that would be.

shamed-angel 10-27-2005 05:07 PM

Kai: The new album by Transatlantic. I doubt there's any chance of Neal Morse re-joinging though :upset:
I hope Daniel Gildenlow is a regular fixture and has a place in the band on the new album.

Toaster 10-27-2005 06:18 PM

Hey, does everyone here already know about all the nuggets in Octavarium? I always knew there were some, but I've recently discovered that the album is loaded with them, no exaggeration.

shamed-angel 10-27-2005 06:25 PM

Yeh, like the intervals in the 'Intervals' section of the title-track?

Toaster 10-27-2005 06:48 PM

Well check this one out..

Listen to track 1. The key is F. Then at the beginning of track two very carefully.. you will hear a ringing tone that is the note f#..the black note above f. The actual song is in G, and at the very end, crank the volume.. you will hear the last note rising slowly.. and it hits G#!!! The next song is in A, and the end of that is in the key of, you guessed it, A#. This goes on for the whole album.. until, the last song, Octavarium, is in the key of F again!!

The whole idea is that the album is in one constant circle, it forms one long "octave".. fitting, considering the album title. There are tons more in the booklet, ask if you're interested.

Jev 10-27-2005 06:50 PM

Wow you've confused me, but if that's true then it's pretty neat.

If it was a good album I'd care.

Toaster 10-27-2005 07:14 PM

I'll make it more straightforward.. Look on a keyboard. There are 8 white notes, and 5 black notes from F to F. So in total, 13 semitones from F to F, including both Fs.

Well, there are eight tracks.. and... you know the in between tracks, with the "-" sign in front of the running time?? There are five of those in total!!!!

I really wish I could go into more detail, but alas I have to go. I'll get back to this topic tomorrow.

I've realized today that I'd previously vastly underrated Scenes from a Memory.
