Edit: And I just made 6,000 posts without realising!!!

Iai 12-29-2004 07:58 PM

NPC, delete that.

pixiesfanyo 12-29-2004 09:52 PM

I bought the last Husker Du album my store had to offer today.

/me high fives Zappa, and Nacho

Bartender 12-29-2004 10:57 PM

Husker Du was just one of the many, many artists that every shop I went to today seemed to be sold out of, or pricing far too high.

Zappa 12-29-2004 10:58 PM

What did you end up purchasing?

Luxor 12-29-2004 11:53 PM

I just got 1 rep point, on a post that I made over a year ago... :amaze:

Crazy kids.

RIPJoeStrummer 12-30-2004 01:09 AM

Haha. You lucky guy.

Zmev 12-30-2004 01:25 AM

It's stormy outside.

br3ad_man 12-30-2004 04:20 AM

I'm so tired. 2 nights ago, I had a movie night with some mates and that went all night. Then I couldn't sleep the next night and today I had to do 12 ks of walking and then I had to walk my dog after I got home.

Tapeworm 12-30-2004 07:14 AM

That's wickidy wickidy whack. Go to bed my man.

Iai 12-30-2004 07:46 AM

Well, I'm off shopping.

I've invited the mixtape girl, but I don't know whether she's coming yet. :-*

pixiesfanyo 12-30-2004 09:42 AM

Yeah, Husker Du cds are all 15 and up around here.

It sucks.

But I got both Pavement Reissue for 9 dollars each so I can't say anything

Bartender 12-30-2004 10:26 AM
What did you end up purchasing?
Me? I ended up getting nothing by Husker Du. Good though they may be, I'm not going to spend £16 on any CD I'll conceivably find in the stores available to me. Especially not when there was a Gang of Four album right next to it for £8.

Zappa 12-30-2004 12:00 PM

I didn't mean by Husker Du, I meant overall, since their CDs were too pricey.

Iai 12-30-2004 12:05 PM

My shopping trip yeilded the following albums.

Tom Waits - Bone Machine
Jeff Buckley - Sketches For Your Sweetheart The Drunk (I lost Disc 2 ages ago, and only had it on CD-R anyway)
Dead Prez - Let's Get Free
Miles Davis - Porgy & Bess
Def Leppard - Best Of

The Def Leppard album was for my sister. The other 4 cost me a total of under £25. Not bad, huh?

Bartender 12-30-2004 12:31 PM
I didn't mean by Husker Du, I meant overall, since their CDs were too pricey.
Oh ok. I ended up with;

The Blueprint - Phenomenology
Gang of Four - Solid Gold/Another Day, Another Dollar
Kaada/Patton - Romances

Plus a Dave Gorman DVD. Pathetically little, considering how long I spent looking.

That album is awesome. :thumb:

I just finished the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick. I haven't read a whole book that wasn't for school since I was in elementary school. It was cool.

Iai 12-30-2004 01:58 PM

Haha. I finished up Mostly Harmless recently, which is the 5th part in the Hitchiker's series. I started Closing Time by Joseph Heller, but got bored.

RIPJoeStrummer 12-30-2004 03:11 PM

^^I'm reading Catch 22 right now.

The Ashtray Girl 12-30-2004 03:11 PM

Books are awesome. I'm reading Anthony Kiedis' autobiography at the moment, and I also have two Terry Pratchetts on my 'to read' pile.

Iai 12-30-2004 03:23 PM
^^I'm reading Catch 22 right now.
See, that's my favourite book, which is why I tried to read Closing Time. But meh.

I also have Memnoch The Devil by Anne Rice, but I probably won't start reading it, since it's due back pretty soon.
