I really like Cruel.
|
I hate when I say that I don't like albums because to be honest I haven't really given Cruel the listen it deserves. I'll get to it. And yeah obviously Grind Your Fucking Head In rules.
|
Cruel is ****in' sick. I love that album.

So, 924 Gilman's 20th anniversary show is coming up, and some rumors have circulated down from some well-versed people that it's not only gonna be the anniversary show, but a Filth reunion show. Holy. Fucking. Shit. We're gonna get there at like 8AM and wait all day. We'll bring a buncha ganja, and Monopoly or Twister or some shit.

So Ed Gein isn't a grind band? Oh...how dissapointing. haha.

I don't sweat the obvious. Except for Pig Destroyer. |
Pig Destroyer!

So, I just saw Paul Baribeau, Captain Chaos, and Craig Salt Peters (new Plan-It-X artist) in my friend's living room. It was sick. Chris Clavin remembered me, and we had a long talk about various strategies on how to make flashes look better when taking band pictures and how he lives in Washington now.
|
I've never heard of any of those bands. Linkage?
|
Haha Justin, those bands aren't nearly hard enough for you. You'd probably die listening to them.
|
Yeah, they're probably not. They're folk; Captain Chaos is Chris from Ghost Mice. But here's linkage, anyways:
Paul Baribeau http://www.myspace.com/paulbaribeau Craig Salt Peters http://www.myspace.com/craigsaltpeters Captain Chaos http://www.myspace.com/chaosismygod |
So who is Cliff Clavin from Operation Cliff Clavin? Chris Clavin's dad, maybe?
Clavin Clavin Clavin Clavin Clavin Clavin Clavin. |
So who is Cliff Clavin from Operation Cliff Clavin? Chris Clavin's dad, maybe?
Clavin Clavin Clavin Clavin Clavin Clavin Clavin.
You don't know who Cliff Clavin is?! Cliff Clavin is Clifford Clavin from Cheers, the mailman played by John Ratzenberger http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliff_Clavin Chris Clavin isn't even Chris real name, just the name he took because of the band. |

Hahahaha, thanks for the warning. |
Cliff Clavin is Chris, too. He's been in like six bands.
|

I hate Cheers.
|
Captain Chaos is one of my favorite "bands" ever. How was it?
|
I've been listening to Napalm Death again.
|

Chris used the name Chris Clavin when Op:CC was together and I think uses it still in Ghost Mice. His real name is Chris Johnston. |
Check out this new band from Houston:
http://www.myspace.com/deathofatyrant melodic Scandi-styled d-beat/hardcore. good stuff. |
Those guys sounded pretty good.
I hope they release some stuff. |
Captain Chaos is one of my favorite "bands" ever. How was it?
Real sick, dude. There was only like twenty people there. Everyone was like drinking tea and joking with each other. It's the second time I've met Chris; he's a real nice guy. |
In Folk Punk We Crust
Are there any known folk grind bands? |

That's a stretch, but I see where you're coming from.
Those guys are nuts. We played with them in backwoods-ass Ione, and after the show, they just stood in the backyard listening to the wolves howl for like an hour. |
Resistant Culture?
I will have to check them out. |
