Seafroggys 01-09-2006 12:10 AM

I'm sixteen. My grandpa is somewhere in his sixties.

Leper 01-09-2006 12:17 AM

Yeah my uncle saw Pink Floyd live...I don't think it was in the seventies though. He's got a framed picture of the stage set-up with his tickets below. Next time I'm over there I'll have to check the date on the tickets.

Wow this thread gets really spammy sometimes.

Listening to "Being for the Benifit of Mr. Kite" really stoned while being chased though the woods at midnight is by far the most intense expirence this man has ever been through.

On Friday, my best friend sold a pill of 'pure' MDMA (XTC) to this kid and apparently he got really sick and scared then told the nurse at our school. He had to go the hospital shortly afterward (apparently). On the same day (Friday) we bought 5 pills of apparently the same stuff ('pure' MDMA) and they turned out to be bunk. It's a good thing though, everyone that has taken the pure MDMA from that dealer has had to been taken to the hospital. (about 5 people) I just found this out. The kid that my friend sold the MDMA to, told on him and now he's in deep ****.
I don't listen to music in the woods because I like listening to the birds.
I found that very funny.

For some reason or another you come off as a violent person.....

Leper 01-09-2006 12:43 AM

So, Schyma, how's that drug rehab going?:p

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-09-2006 12:53 AM

Horrible....

I couldn't help it but I did 3 lines of yay (2nd time though) on Friday and I seem to be doing alot more pot these days.....and I tried to do X on the same night but it was bunk.

/sigh

Leper 01-09-2006 12:56 AM

Wow man I can't believe you're only 15 and you're into all these things. I guess with drugs it doesn't really matter what age you are, but it just seems incredible to me. I don't think I even knew what X was when I was 15.

Hodgetts 01-09-2006 01:46 AM

Well, im only 17 and im into Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rush, AcDc, The Doors, ZZ Top etc. Allthough most people my age listen commercial music like rap, pop etc, there are alot of young people into classic rock and blues rock and stuff. Alot of my friends are into that stuff. Alltough I like all that music, i'll be honest, my favourite type of music is metal. If you look into it enough, Metal can be quite a diverse genre. I mean, the stuff people do in power metal is brilliant. But yeah, classic rock is just a great genre for all ages.

(my age) It's tragic really, they're all moving into hard drugs like coc, crack and meth. It's truely a sad sight when you see one of your own friends pawn his own guitar for crack money and then when you talk to him about it all he says is 'Who cares? It's not like I need it anymore.' I mean most of them have the plans to drop out....sad sight. I really want to get away from the whole drug crowd but it's hard when all of your best friends are in that crowd. I'm going to try for now on to strictly stick to psychedelics, pot, and the monthy boozing.

Wait how old are you? I just figure almost everyone in here is 15-17 unless your PFer and Magicbus.

Word of hopefully un-needed advice to Schyma. Stay away from meth one of my best friends friends started doing it about a year ago and I saw her die in front of me everyday at school looked worse and worse but she came to school on it and stuff, it was actually scary.
She died. I didn't like her!

Luckly I go to a smallish school in a smallish town and we are the arty hippie high school in my town. Pot and booze are the most common drugs of choice. Once in awhile you get a meth head or crack but they either go crazy, drop out or die.

WelcomeToTheMachine 01-09-2006 08:52 AM

Well at least you didnt like her:thumb:

Hey i was just wondering if any of you guys have heard of a progressive rock band called Camel. My parents are huge Camel fans and I pretty much grew up listening to all of their albums. Last year we travelled across the ocean to go see them perform in England, which was amazing!!! If you havent heard them these guys are a great prog band to check out! Great melodies, harmonies and amazing percussion! And they have a billion albums!!!!

Also for the guy wanting to check out Clapton. My friend has the Crossroads collection. its about 4 cds with all the best songs from derek and the dominos, cream and clapton's own recordings! If you're not sure what to get, this is definitely a great starter and sampler for your collection

pasulpepe 01-09-2006 02:57 PM

I just got the styx vinyl for paradise theater and it is still in its plastic. Should I open it to listen to it? I dont think so but my friend told me that it isnt worth leaving unopened.

gmoneyguy 01-09-2006 03:02 PM

hahaha its styx, nothing of value has ever came from styx.

jpj 01-09-2006 03:19 PM
hahaha its styx, nothing of value has ever came from styx.
Wrong. Have you not heard The Renegade? But yeah, other than that they're pretty worthless.

Broken Arrow 01-09-2006 03:23 PM

Haha. JPJ, comes out of the closet.

The brutal arena rock closest.

Badmoon 01-09-2006 03:23 PM

"Renegade" is a pretty good song.

They have a couple of other good ones; not many at all.

I can't listen to any Styx. Just brutal.

John Mayall's Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton is such a great album. Really gets overlooked but Clapton's playing on there is better than any of his other playing except with Cream and Derek and the Dominoes. Great stuff.

Krabsworth 01-09-2006 03:48 PM

Styx :(

WelcomeToTheMachine 01-09-2006 03:52 PM

I cant stand Styx, and ELO for that matter (completely random about ELO)

jpj 01-09-2006 03:54 PM

Whenever someone sent out that ELO album (Aaron I think) I really didn't like it at all. It just didn't do anything for me.

Krabsworth 01-09-2006 03:58 PM

What songs did ELO do?

Broken Arrow 01-09-2006 04:07 PM

Mr. Blue Sky.

Oh yeah, I also noticed about my music erasing problem that I have 20GB out of 22GB on my iPod and apparently theres a program that can transfer music form the iPod to the iTunes so if that goes through I might be able to restore a good portion of my music, if not......:(

temporary 01-09-2006 04:09 PM
Wrong. Have you not heard The Renegade? But yeah, other than that they're pretty worthless.
So true, if I ever hear Come Sail Away again, I think I'll shoot something.
I cant stand Styx, and ELO for that matter (completely random about ELO)
Whats wrong with ELO?

Good luck, Livewired.

JackG 01-09-2006 04:16 PM

Yep, Led Zeppelin Rock

If so I had no idea he like ELO.
Yep, Led Zeppelin Rock
i noz, but they donst rocc as muh as ACDC!!!!111!!11

JackG 01-09-2006 04:21 PM

I am a fan of AC/DC, but im afraid i have to disagree, Led Zeppelin were more Influential than AC/DC, and with AC/DC you know what your getting, That crunchy, heavy sound which is good for AC/DC, but with a band like Zeppelin, it was varied stuff, e.g Acoustic, Piano, Mandolins, but yeah, AC/DC are cool don't get me wrong

jpj 01-09-2006 04:24 PM
