There are already a couple people over 20,000 posts.

Ramsey vs. Jared will be an interesting race, though.

But yes, FL isn't only a drum machine though. Its a sequencer in which you can run a midi keyboard through and play the drums back (like chimp_spanner or Bulb). You can also manually program the drums, like what I do. It also has a bunch of other features but these are the mains ones

Illmatic 03-29-2005 11:00 PM

I usually use it to program my own drums (the loops are annoying and I hate them) and then build a playlist into the song I'm recording. It has a few very weak spots though. As far as I can tell, it doesn't do triplets which is annoying. Does the trick though.

No...?

Illmatic 03-29-2005 11:13 PM

Drums are pretty good because I'm black, so we have natural rhythm.

Dood, "The Final Countdown" is sick.

If you were really troo you'd do a hardcore post-fusion melo-death jazz metal version of it.

It depends

As long as you can hook the keyboard to a computer through a midi man (either bought or stock with the keyboard) then yes, if you can't then probably not.

Illmatic 03-29-2005 11:19 PM

I think Phil Collins once used a keyboard in lieu of drums. That's hallowed company.

Hah, I guess I could then if I had a cable, because it has an output, and my usb recorder thing has an input. The keyboards have a "drums" setting, but even if I could hook it up it would suck, because I don't have the skillz to play drums on a keyboard anyway. :p

Jom 03-29-2005 11:29 PM
Alright. I'm back. I'm hoping everyone is chilled the eff out.

edit: does anyone know if Jake has AIM?
He says that he can't get it to install. I was going to send him the file, but I forgot his e-mail address.

Permanent Solution 03-29-2005 11:30 PM

I'm gonna guitar then make an early night of it I guess. Night thread.

Illmatic 03-29-2005 11:30 PM

Ahhhh, they think they can play basketball.

Back in the kitchen with you basketball-dike.

ATM 03-29-2005 11:35 PM

I'm guessing because women's college b-ball is the main story.

Illmatic 03-29-2005 11:35 PM
I don't get it.
It's women's college basketball, which in terms of popularity ranks somewhere between "semi-pro soccer" and "Division 3 Men's Volleyball"

ATM: The who now?
