It's not that people will use them in a quicky mart, but I mean, I don't see how hard it is to understand that if people had easy access to such things that they'd be able to do mass murders and commit terrorist acts much easier.

You do know laws banning those kinds of weapons generally only stops law abiding citizens from buying those kinds of weapons, since criminals would likely opt for a cheaper black market version anyways without all the paperwork to tie the weapon to them?

I mean people shouldnt be able to walk around with rocket launchers or grenades as explosives should be illegal, but I think automatic weapons are perfectly fine with reasonable background checks and carrying laws.

I made the thread in PNWI about automatic weapons b/c I have project in my argument class about it, so thanks for doing some of the hw for me guys. The guy I'm arguing w/ is an idiot, but I have a 9 minute presentation on it on Monday and I'm kinda worried he'll step it up.

I'm all for owning guns, I hunt so I have a shotgun and a rifle for that, and I like target shooting so I have a pistol for that, owning a fully auto would be ridiculous for hunting and completely ruin the point of target shooting.

Just because someone wants to collect them doesn't mean we should make them legal, think of a better reason.
