Yeah, but it wasn't implemented until fairly recently, I believe.
|
I think that's more to the advantage of gays than against them. I mean, how many people really want to be in the army?
|
Back then that's how everyone doged the draft and army.
i wanna find my first post in this thread, but don't want to go hunting....
I found it but I didn't think you important enough to quote. :p Kidding but I did find it. Page 45 I think. |
Hey Schyma, I was going to find my first post anyways. You didn't need to pwn me while I was away... (and yes Django owns)
ATTN-Slug: Karma Police is a blatant ripoff of the Beatles' Sexy Sadie. But the rest of OK Computer is fine. |
Hendrix was in the army for a little while, but I don't think he went to Vietnam. This is probably where the gay thing came in.
I do know that Jim Morrison also pretended to be gay, so he was never in the army at all. |
Woodstock: You're not the only one. ;)
OK Computer is a freaking great album. |
I just listened to Sexy Sadie, and the piano riff right after the first "you made a fool of everyone" does sound like the part from Karma Police.
But then again the lyrics seem to be exactly the same from a recent Jet song. Now if you ask me, that is a blatant ripoff. EDIT: And I like OK Computer a lot. My favorite song happens to be Karma Police. |
It's getting late. I'm going to head off for bed. Good night MX.
I was once Moon349.
Soon I would evolve into he who is badmoon349, only to eventually morph into the great power that is Badmoon, through the powers of a kind sage. *shoots lightning out of fingers* /Classic Rock Sorcerer
Ah, that's great  np: Norwegian Wood |
I'm writing my ELO article as we speak.

Does anybody know why Hendrix took his backplate off of his guitars?
|

More flammable guitars? |
More flammable guitars?
Could be, but I was wondering if it affected his tone or something like that. |

Have you seen the "Doors Live in Europe: '68" movie? Morrison is SO fucking wasted in that movie. During the "Light My Fire" solo, he starts wandering around under the stage and just walking around stoned out of his mind. It's great. |
Did I tell you guys about this one time at Cedar Point? I was in line for one of the rides, and I was wearing my Jim Morrison shirt that day, and some guy in line next to me asks if I'm a Jim Morrison fan. I said yes, and he said "Yea, my friend's uncle had sex with him".

That is the funniest story I've heard all day :chug: "Eleanor Rigby" scares the hell out of me. I don't like it  |
I'm sure that if he was gay, he could get all the men he wanted. Kinda like Freddie Mercury and Elton John.
|
Elton John gets all the men he wanted? That pudgy pale dude?
|
They fall in love with his music... :)
then he gets them boozed up. |
And you would know this...how?
|
Elton John gets all the men he wanted? That pudgy pale dude?
He's a real man's man. |
And you would know this...how?
Just 'cause. |
Schyma, that was bellow the belt and uncalled for.
But I stand by that statement anyway, screw you guys. Truth is, I don't even like classic rock. |
