any post in the pit is a bad idea.

pedro durruti 08-16-2005 09:09 PM

You have lunch every day at the senior campus?

TAND 08-16-2005 09:20 PM

Hey hey, I haven't been around in a while, what's been going on?

hahahahahahaha

KingOfSka 08-16-2005 10:39 PM

I've heard of Donald Rumsfeld, but I never really found out who he is. What is he?

I'm canadian btw.
http://www.theonion.com/news/index.php?issue=4133

Worst case scenario, just kick over the trashcan and throw up the devil horns.
Haha, a kid who looks alot like me kicked over a trashcan at lunch last year when my friend was like, "See that kid over there *points at me*? He is gonna fight you!!!!!" All of a sudden he starts running out of the cafeteria and knoks the can over and is screaming, awhil the entire place is DEAD SILENT. Apperently he was in an unstable emotional state. And I could've taken him.

cheeser_1 08-16-2005 11:11 PM

i remember once in eighth grade, which is actually a long time ago i guess, this one kid who got in alot of trouble regularly was in some sort of altercation with some other kid, and i remember looking over and seeing the one kid getting dragged away in cuffs, and i was concerned because i thought he was covered in blood. it turned out that the other kid threw ketchup all over him.

also, donald rumsfeld is a bumbling idiotic self-important moron of a secretary of defense.
here's a bio: http://www.defenselink.mil/bios/rumsfeld.html

but he's incompetent and arrogant and a terrible liar (which works against him most of the time, since he doesn't seem to ever tell us the truth).

Brain Toad 08-16-2005 11:33 PM
They probably actually don't.
There is very few black people there. I didn't see one when I was up there a few years ago. The closest thing to a ****** in Oregon is Peter's lips.
Tomorrow is my first day of school and its gunna suck. First of all my school is spilt into w campus senior-junior campus and sophomor-freshman campus. Well im a sophomore but i have lunch at the senior campus, it sucks im not gunna no anyone, all my friend have it at the other one. Im dreding tomorrow.
This is why I love open campus. I had no one to hang out with at lunch, so I went home. Now my high school is closed campus and I couldn't be happier, no fags dirtying up my street with their trash or racing up and down the street in their crappy cars.
Whoops, my milf thread in the pit was a bad idea.
The Pit are very visual people, they cannot read well and do not know what descriptions are, they need pictures.
I've heard of Donald Rumsfeld, but I never really found out who he is. What is he?

Secretary of Defense in the US. I had to memorize all those for my Government final. I think I missed like the Secetary of Treasury, who no one gives two ****s about anyway.

QUOTE-O-RAMA!

AndreTheHyena 08-16-2005 11:51 PM

Talking to a younger friend on AIM about Against Me! and the current state of punk, etc, and I was proud for this little rant...it's a pretty good example of exactly how I feel right now in terms of modern music...
ILoveJanieJones: if you talk to anyone who's actually serious about music and politics and the Current State of Punk Rock, most agree that Against Me! is really carrying the torch that people like the Clash and Minor Threat also carried

ILoveJanieJones: there are so few bands anymore in the "scene" that are worth caring about, it's why I don't play or even listen to punk anymore, at least not as much as I used to

ILoveJanieJones: "When the going gets punk, the punx get going", you know?

ILoveJanieJones: hence, I call my country band a "punk band" because the spirit is there so much more than in ****in' Days Well Spent* or whatever, with all of their big amps and political apathy and the van their parents bought them

ILoveJanieJones: punk is so volatile and ever-changing, even though I'm only 21 I feel jaded and "old"

xXRebel FistXx: haha yeah...in my youthful years i am still so ignorent to alot of the good music that is out there, what with the "scene" propaganda that is everywhere and the ****ty music that fills the world through radio waves...but i am willing to learn

ILoveJanieJones: I'll hold your hand
*Days Well Spent are a local Used-worshipping popcore band who regularly fill Starbucks, which is the closest we have to a youth venue. I find it funny that there is such a "scene" crowd in my town now, whereas when I was in a punk band back in high school, we could barely get our friends to show up...to a show that we put on in a Community Center that we had to pay for ourselves. Oh how things change in so few years.

Anyway...that's that. I think sometime soon I'm going to make a "Current State of Punk Rock" thread in which we discuss how the current scene will be looked back on in even 5 or 10 years time. We can discuss the most pertinent bands currently making rounds, etc. I dunno, food for thought.

Many of us share that same idea, that folk-punk is the saviour of punk. It is pushing punk forward with new ideas with some old ideas.

And Sid has done many current state of punk threads, and they produced good convo for a couple pages.

AndreTheHyena 08-17-2005 12:42 AM

Shucks, you guys are too nice. I'll make a new "Current State..." thread tomorrow or the next day.

RetiredAt21 08-17-2005 01:38 AM

There is no punk rock scene whatsoever in Lancaster. It's sad.

Anti-Prefix 08-17-2005 05:50 AM
There is no punk rock scene whatsoever in Lancaster. It's sad.
I live 20 minutes from there and there still isn't any.

guns_of_brixton 08-17-2005 10:12 AM

Go for that state of punk thread. Andre being here seems to make all of us smarter and a better forum.

SantaDuJuan 08-17-2005 10:21 AM
Name Change Request: From ska_pirate to Dustin

I would also like my post count reset to zero.

Reasons For: I am a regular in the punk forum, and contribute there regularly. I have contributed to sputnik (only one review, I'll admit), and I don't often provoke others into fights. When someone says something stupid, I'll usually try to stay out of it so I don't make it worse. I have been banned once, and that was in a mod game.

Reasons against: I say many stupid and not funny things, and I occasionally spam. I also usually slack off whenever I tell people I'll help them, and sometimes it never gets done.
Ska Pirate got his name changed to Dustin and then he posted something about never posting agian a few pages back. Weird.

Brain Toad 08-17-2005 01:04 PM
Could I make a Grunge genre in the Recommand Thread?
That defeat the purpose of disallowing Nirvana to be discussed here.

Brain Toad 08-17-2005 01:05 PM
Ska Pirate got his name changed to Dustin and then he posted something about never posting agian a few pages back. Weird.
I think he had a plan to come back afterwards with the new name and 0 posts.

guns_of_brixton 08-17-2005 01:13 PM

Well I caught him. Owned.

Brain Toad 08-17-2005 01:15 PM

I knew right after he did it because I check the site forum

guns_of_brixton 08-17-2005 01:18 PM

Just like a good mod should :).

And after what you posted on my myspace I don't think I will do comment whoring bulletins anymore.

Brain Toad 08-17-2005 01:19 PM

Haha, I saw you deleted that too.
