Folk: the next faggy MX trend.
emo

besides, folk was already a trend on here for a while.
He's probably talking about the old folk/viking metal thread, I think around the time it went away we pretty much used it to talk about folk lol.
yeah talking about the first one, and then the one i made after when all big R&M thread were closed.

Deth 08-10-2009 11:21 AM

that was really dumb when they arbitrarily closed down those big threads

Angmar 08-10-2009 11:21 AM

Yeah seriously lots of people here listen to folk/neofolk, it's not that we grew out of it people just don't talk about it as much.

Stormrider 08-10-2009 11:24 AM
Yeah seriously lots of people here listen to folk/neofolk, it's not that we grew out of it people just don't talk about it as much.
Some did.

Angmar 08-10-2009 11:25 AM

Ya to an extent, like Josh and Austin.

Nepenthe 08-10-2009 11:30 AM

id still listen to it if i could remember half of it. im pretty sure i had like 80gb of neo folk and folk/viking metal.

i dug all the way to the very bottom of that music. the very bottom.

Anglachel 08-10-2009 11:32 AM

r&m needed like one giant ftp server that we all had all our music on

Stormrider 08-10-2009 11:32 AM

Mike.

But I mean, it's not simply about 'not exploring the genre for new bands" because I don't really do that anymore, either. However, I still greatly enjoy my favorite bands from the genre, ahile stuff likre Verisakeet is some of my favorite music ever.

tbh, more tha half of that probably wasn't worth listening to. And you know it too :p

easylee 08-10-2009 11:33 AM

wtf where my thread

Deth 08-10-2009 11:35 AM

josh doesn't count as growing out of it, he goes through 3 trends a week

Stormrider 08-10-2009 11:37 AM

right around the time i was seriously listening to bands from that one little russian NS crew, cant remember the name, i realized that i had definitely reached the end of my time exploring that genre haha

RetiredAt21 08-10-2009 11:38 AM

Blazebirth Hall. Sieg heil!

Nepenthe 08-10-2009 11:40 AM

hah yeah thats it. i had to do some serious soul searching after id convinced myself they were actually good.

RetiredAt21 08-10-2009 11:41 AM

Forest, Ravendark and Branikald are all awesome. The rest are meh or really bad.

illmitch 08-10-2009 11:47 AM

blazebirth hall is pretty elite. more elite than LLN although i prefer vlad tepes to most blazebirth bands.

the most elite circle is the french NSBM scene like seigneur voland and kristallnacht though

Stormrider 08-10-2009 11:49 AM

there's a band you'd like, retired. Get Seigneur Voland's self title EP.

Angmar 08-10-2009 11:49 AM

What Ravendark album should I get?

Nepenthe 08-10-2009 11:51 AM

idk if its just that my tastes have changed and i have a new concept of whats cool and whats lame, but listening to blazebirth hall today would result in nothing more than extreme laughage for me

RetiredAt21 08-10-2009 11:51 AM

Berustet av Kriegsdronnet and Autumn Roar are pretty good, but Berustet av Kriegsdronnet is easily the best Raven Dark album.

well, considering you realized you had exausted folk/viking metal while seriously listening to blazebirth hall stuff, well...

i dont know what to tell you

What language is that

Looks like broken Danish

"Intoxicated by the <something> of War"

Nepenthe 08-10-2009 12:01 PM

its just like... look at those guys. little puny bald guys running around with the Sword of Prejudice +2. its kind of funny to me. like, if i saw them in real life, im pretty sure i would laugh in their face. and not be frightened by anything they could actually do to me. id be willing to bet i could take on the entire Hall haha. and i dont mind lo-fi production obviously, but blazebirth hall **** is like nearly indecipherable. like its just kind of hilarious how un-good it is to hear. they try wayyy too hard.

RetiredAt21 08-10-2009 12:02 PM

The dude is Russian, so I dunno. Definitely doesn't look Russian.

illmitch 08-10-2009 12:34 PM

its definitely scandinavian

my guess is norwegian or danish

1338 h4x0r 08-10-2009 12:38 PM

it's broken though

you could say "beruset" but not "berustet"

its either danish or norwegian.

illmitch 08-10-2009 12:40 PM
