They had fun songs just very generic.

phil_ares 01-01-2010 05:28 PM

**** songs.

2muchket! 01-01-2010 05:30 PM

Just took a listen to some of the new stuff. Ain't bad actually, can tell they're trying to emulate underoath a wee bit though.

phil_ares 01-01-2010 05:33 PM

I can see underoath in some of their guitars, but their strongest point was the singing. they've still got that, and they've toned the synth down, actually using it well.

2muchket! 01-01-2010 05:35 PM

Still prefer other bands on Wolf At Your Door though.

Like Deaf Havana and The Arusha Accord.

And Survive Atlantica but they're not METALCORE.

phil_ares 01-01-2010 05:36 PM

Aye, there's no decent post-hardcore thread?

nevertoolate 01-01-2010 05:37 PM

enjoying The Arusha Accord and A Textbook Tragedy atm, bands rule

the_lord 01-01-2010 05:38 PM

I put The Arusha Accord on my top ten of '09 list.

/album slays

phil_ares 01-01-2010 05:39 PM

yeah, missed those two in Sunderland, last november. gutted. They were supported by Ghosts on Pegasus Bridge which suckk assssss

edit: at/on, still suck.

2muchket! 01-01-2010 05:39 PM

A Textbook Tragedy are so boring live, they're not bad on record.

You seen parkway's dvd brent ? Showed the live video of carrion from that to my mate phil_ares last night ahah.

phil_ares 01-01-2010 05:40 PM

I watched it, then listenened to the entire show. then watched the behind the scenes. pretty cool story bro! for real!

2muchket! 01-01-2010 05:42 PM

bad live??? that sucks coz they are dec on album, as you said. As for Parkway yeah I bought it when released, as you all know I can't get enough. Oh and I've also picked up Stray from The Path's new disc, not too bad tbh

phil_ares 01-01-2010 05:45 PM

Haha, was funny.

btw, get on msn?

edit:

I thought Textbook were tight live. Granted the only reason I'm gutted I missed them is because I want that Lil' Wayne Tshirt.

2muchket! 01-01-2010 05:45 PM

Yeah I've got loads of respect for them after I saw how relentlessly they've toured.

Will do mate.

nevertoolate 01-01-2010 05:51 PM

I can't wait for my next gig on Jan 21, Every Time I Die, Trap Them, 50 Lions and Mary Jane Kelly, gonna be good. ETID slayed when I saw them early last year and I can't wait to hear their new material. New Junk Aesthetic was in my top ten for 09, and well Trap Them, what can I say?, band rules hard and I hope they are good live

phil_ares 01-01-2010 05:52 PM

where's that at? I rate 50 lions.

2muchket! 01-01-2010 05:55 PM

Australia somewhere.

nevertoolate 01-01-2010 05:55 PM

sorry dude, I'm from Australia. we've got some awesome bands touring here during the first 3 months of 10, just happy they travel all the way down here. I've got Mastodon, then Converge/Genghis Tron and then Behemoth/JFAC/Goatwhore. which I've bought tix for already

50 Lions are excellent live and their new album is great. I think I may like them b/c the lead singer is Winston's brother (from PWD)

phil_ares 01-01-2010 05:59 PM

what we got?

lamb of god, jfac, btbam, august burns red, adtr and architects?
