They're the kind more associated with hardcore punk, I think, but like I say, kind of unique. They're grating (only word I can think of to describe them), and with not much variation at all. I think they're mostly great, though, so hopefully others will too.
I like hardcore too. Bad Brains took me awhile to get into, but they're good, and new hardcore is great.

Bartender 03-29-2005 08:53 PM
I love them both. If you want, I can send you Hail to the Theif? It wouldn't be a problem.
I'm not much of a fan of just owning albums digitally, and anyway, I have a couple of dozen albums to work through as it is :-/

I'm also on a 56K at the moment..so many reasons not to. Thanks for the offer though, much appreciated :)

No problem. But do yourself a favor and pick it up when you get a chance.

I think there's differences between hardcore and hardcore punk :-/ But then, I doubt they reside in the vocals, so who cares. I'll get a couple of tracks to you anyway, if either of us remembers when I get back to University.

Bartender 03-29-2005 08:57 PM
Bartender, do you like Air? I just started listening to them rescently and they are really good.
I don't think I've ever heard them (not knowingly, anyway). I've seen threads about them before though, and I think Scott Herren (the MXican, not the actual guy) likes them, so that's usually reason enough for me to check them out. What kind of music?

ATM 03-29-2005 08:57 PM

I've got loads of Bad Brains mp3s if anyone wants me to YSI something.

They are mellow/electronic. Very, very good. I downloaded an album from Dancin' Man and I can't stop listening to it.

Cool, well I'll have to remember to check them out sometime. Thanks.

Anyway, I'm happy with my purchases, and off to bed (or at least The Simpsons)..finally :) See you all tomorrow.

I've heard enough to judge.

~The Wise One~ 03-29-2005 09:51 PM

how do you make a recording on the computer? is there some way to put the line out jack on the back of my amp into my computer or what?

ATM 03-29-2005 09:51 PM

I could upload the best track by each of them, if you are willing to listen with an open mind.

Your college blocks it?

Anyone who has a guitar go put you throat right on the strings (helps if you have good pick-ups) and hum or talk or whatever. Its weird how the vibrations transfer over on to the guitar.
