meh, just trying to be helpfull!

Today isn't off to the best of starts for me :(
I woke up late ishy because I stayed up late last night to finish watching Prison Break. I watched the intire first series in just under 35 hours  :upset: Then I ran up the road so I didn't miss my lift. Got up to the top of the road only to get a text saying that they're still in bed and that they're just skipping first class and coming in later.
I got on the first bus. Making me about 20 minutes late in, went to the room where my class is held but they weren't in there. So I went and checked where they might be at the reception. I was told they were up stairs. They're not there either. So I'm sitting in the library listening to crappy internet radio because my mp3 player died >: [
well only another 4 hours to go until my next class! /weeps

sup with you all today?

Squirrel 01-10-2007 03:57 AM

heh i know, thanks for the help though

I still havent found this song

so im listening to Bucketheads' Crime Slunk Scene.

Auberge le Mouton Noir 01-10-2007 05:13 AM

To the EXAM MACHINE!

For mechanics 3!

/:upset:

The_Passenger 01-10-2007 07:54 AM

You complain, but at least you actually get to do mechanics. If I decide to do Physics at Uni (which looks increasingly likely) then I'll probably be disadvantaged because I haven't even had the chance to do mechanics.

btw, I've read some more of Catch 22 and it is starting to look like a good contender for the best book IN THE HISTORY OF LITERATURE.

Also, anyone do an AS Biology exam today? I didn't think that mine was too bad, pretty confident I have at least a B.

Untitled 01-10-2007 08:24 AM

Lol, floppy disks, old schoolllllllllllllllllll.

I dont even have one on my PC.

Which module was it today?

2muchket! 01-10-2007 10:15 AM

Had a key skills exam but that's not a real subject.

The_Passenger 01-10-2007 10:27 AM
No but i have second year uni exams in biology next week

:(
haha, good luck.
Which module was it today?
I believe its name was Systems, Cells and Transport. If it wasn't exactly that it was something similar.

Squirrel 01-10-2007 10:41 AM

Hmm.

I got full ums in that one i think.

The_Passenger 01-10-2007 10:50 AM

ums? Does that just mean marks?

Squirrel 01-10-2007 10:51 AM

I got full UMS points for that module.

Dont they still use UMS point systems ? As is out of 300, A2 out of another 300, total is 600 etc?

Patrick O))) 01-10-2007 10:56 AM

I'm back in leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds

The_Passenger 01-10-2007 11:03 AM

The marks sound right (300 for AS, 300 for A2 etc) but I've never heard the term UMS.

Patrick O))) 01-10-2007 11:05 AM

When I was applying those ums things were total balls. I don't think they'd been going that long either

Nowhere uses them. There's not a lot of point because not every exam board grades with ums points.

I think the only places that ask for ums entry requirements are Oxbridge

Auberge le Mouton Noir 01-10-2007 11:18 AM

no, it's only... less pretigious courses at less pestigious universities that take UCAS points. most places ask for grades

NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT I'M NOT AN ACADEMIC SNOB

Squirrel 01-10-2007 11:39 AM

My exams were on AQA and OCR or sth, grade boundaries were done by UMS points.

semi 01-10-2007 12:12 PM

Fat Boy why are you so fat? do you eat lots of pies?

semi 01-10-2007 12:15 PM

how many?

semi 01-10-2007 01:06 PM

no how many pies?

semi 01-10-2007 01:09 PM

that thing seems lame tbh. the newer ones have little weights inside so you can even change and mess with that O_o. it's all too anal imo.

semi 01-10-2007 01:12 PM

my brother designed some mouse but that was a project still in uni so it didn't actually get made.

semi 01-10-2007 01:30 PM

i likes the shape of logiteks.

trysthedrummer 01-10-2007 01:36 PM

They have scroll buttons at the side

semi 01-10-2007 01:39 PM

lies. those are forward and back. on the mx510-mx518 kind of shape. idk about that laser thing.

trysthedrummer 01-10-2007 01:48 PM

Na, there has been a mouse in pc world (or some place like that) that had a scrolling wheel on the side

semi 01-10-2007 01:48 PM

a logitech one?
there are other mice of other makes that have side wheels but the logitech ones fatboy is talking about do not. those are forward and back buttons there is no side scroll wheel on the shape we mean.
