i think cocaine got some funds for that 4/5 review

you won't see that part of the interview w/ Shaefer when they negotiated the price

"I'll make sure our label gets you the 500"

"500??? Thought we agreed on 6"

"Nah dude, 500 take it or leave it"

Xplisit 11-04-2010 07:47 PM

Which album do you guys prefer between Piece of Time and Unquestionable Presence?

Tyler 11-04-2010 07:54 PM

Piece of Time.

adb, shut up. It got better with repeated listens. I've had it for weeks, it's not like I'm basing my opinion off a quick leak.

adb 11-04-2010 08:05 PM

atheist - 4/5 interview interview done w/ band member
Devin Townsend, gave his 3.5
so would you agree that this is the coolest guy you've interviewed

Tyler 11-04-2010 09:44 PM

Kelly and Devin were the nicest, Greg from the Red Chord was the funniest and dude from WITTR was the most..uh..unique.

Anglachel 11-04-2010 11:12 PM

its not a 4 for adb until a planet begins to explode

Tyler 11-04-2010 11:13 PM

the entire album is about planets being the fruit of life of course he'd hate it

Anglachel 11-04-2010 11:18 PM

Tyler 11-05-2010 01:17 AM

witchxrapist 11-06-2010 07:15 AM

I don't know why I bothered viewing that post to see what it was about.

This is really bad, the intro 'breakdown' sounds like something off of Changing Of Times but sped up too much to actually be heavy. Transition riff from that breakdown is just awkward, the drumming is stupid. That cow-bell fill he does every measure especially.

Only remotely good parts of the song is the Hatebreed riff at like 1:30, and the Decapitated stop/go riff at like 2:05... but that cymbol hit at every start and stop, and the overall sloppiness of the drummer trying to show off at this part kind of ruins it... plus it's way too drawn out, and the synth just sounds tacked on.

All in all, I don't know what you see in this music, but okay dude.

adb 11-06-2010 01:59 PM

vocals are so good

drumming is more creative brutal dm drumming, dude is good

witchxrapist 11-06-2010 02:02 PM

Except his fills are awful and most of his shit is awkward in that song. I really just don't get how you have such little understanding of percussion, and call every shitty drummer who does awkward beats that don't fit "creative."

And those vocals sound exactly like every other death metal vocalist ever.

Back to ignoring you.

witchxrapist 11-06-2010 02:04 PM

Immolation and Animosity prob have the best drums in dm.

EdgeOfSanity 11-06-2010 03:48 PM

Animosity ruled.

witchxrapist 11-06-2010 04:24 PM

Yeah, that was one band that just blew my mind every release.

Deth 11-06-2010 05:51 PM
Immolation and Animosity prob have the best drums in dm.
altars of madness has my favorite drums of any DM album, so satan

witchxrapist 11-07-2010 04:00 AM
Immolation and Animosity prob have the best drums in dm.
besides Death.

Deth 11-07-2010 11:01 AM

Are you ****ing kidding me?

Death, Gorguts, Necrophagist, and Meshuggah > everything else in the history of Death metal, period. I wasn't aware everyone on this forum had that shitty of taste in music.
