what's the deal with the last 50 or so pages of that book being only 1 sentence? if i remember correctly (noth that i've read the book, but i know some about it, and i have it) isn't it all just thoughts of people and has to do with how sporadic the mind is?

The lowest toggle switch on the bass, closest to the bridge is the Active/Passive switch. The position closest to you while you are playing is passive. the middle one is active and the position farthest from you is active with high EQ.

I have to say (doing it for my A-levels) i don't particularly like the book, a bit too extreme, but it's very well written, and thought provoking, which is why i recommended it, i'm sure someone would be interested...

Yes, with passive on the batteries are no longer necessary. They're only there for the active preamp.

yeah, Joyce is famous for his Modernism 'stream of consciousness' writing style. i've read 'A Portrait of the Artists as a Young Man' and thats just really weird and random

i know what u mean, its just i truly despise the teacher i had during my AS levels. he once insulted my girlfriend and i threatened to cut his thorat....it all got a bit out of hand :upset:
