Nothing wrong with drink or drugs in moderation. It's only when it goes out of moderation that it really starts ****ing people over. I remember one alcoholic... I think his name was Terry. Real nice guy, early 60's, when he was first brought in, he was physically shaking, it was basically his first time sober in, like, years. Really nice guy, as I said. Worst thing was, as soon as his 28 days were up, he went straight out and got drunk - he relapsed the same afternoon that left. A real shame, that, such a nice guy.

PAJJ 06-23-2006 07:34 PM

ah, true,

shame about terry

i know people like that

any decision on the banjo/lap steel?
what do you do as a job>?
Nothing, I'm still at school.

Paul: I'll probably get the lap steel first, but aim to get both eventually.

PAJJ 06-23-2006 07:36 PM

cool, and cool,

see you guys alcohols wearing off and need some major zs

GurS 06-23-2006 07:38 PM

Night Paulie-Paul. You don't mind being called that, right? Take a paracetamol, no hangover tomorrow for you that way. Though, I've never actually had one in my life personally.

NP: The Kinks - Waterloo Sunset. Except it just finished.

You know, that was such a good album, I may just listen to it again.

EDIT: Nerve Agents (Phill, right?), I just re-read over the last few posts. You probably think I'm a drug addict or alcoholic of some description now, right?

Phill 06-23-2006 07:40 PM

NP: The Kinks - Tin Soldier Man

Phill 06-23-2006 07:55 PM

np rjd2 the horror

so 162 albums/1001

GurS 06-23-2006 07:57 PM

*160, ya.

TRUE FACT:

I had never listened to a Beatles album before starting on the list. (Well, I had the Beatles 1 compilation, but no real ALBUM albums)

I've now heard FIVE - that's right - FIVE

Woo!

I reckon "Abbey Road" and "With The Beatles" are mayhaps the best of the ones i've heard

AG 06-23-2006 09:07 PM

So, like, It's 3.50 and I'm back from a night out. I'm very drunk, and ~I@ve had a very ****ed up night.

I'll explain tomorrow,

GurS 06-23-2006 09:40 PM

I cannae wait for the explanation, it sounds a real story-and-a-half, that.

NP: The Kinks - End of the Season.

My ears REALLY hurt. Mebbe an ear infection I have? That'd suck.

GurS 06-23-2006 10:20 PM

FOAD, I do believe

NP: Coldplay - Everything's Not Lost

I STILL maintain that A Rush of Blood's a better album.

Mexican Bandito 06-24-2006 02:55 AM
