Shoooooot. I downloaded my own band's album from soulseek :p illegal downloading hurts artists, yeah, but as an artist, I'm cool with it, because if people want to hear my band that much, why should I worry? And producing better records has nothing to do with money, btw.

If they like it they'll still buy concert tickets and other merch, which is usually more expensive than the album anyway.

hahaha bands don't get **** from sales usually anyways. as far as i know most bands make their cut by touring and selling merch.

unless you're selling millions, some kids downloading your **** won't really have an effect on your income.

And the money bands make from touring goes into paying the ridiculous cost of making an album. So regardless of downloading, they end up with little to nothing.

Yep. We're still in debt from recording/pressing the first album and also from merch. Touring our asses off is one of the only ways to pay off said debts. I don't mind, I love touring.
