Hardcore is way more than music.

Indian Summer: Emotional Hardcore.

Cro-Mags: New York Hardcore.

Find the common factor.

BuddyBigsby 11-08-2004 03:44 AM

As long as you acknowledge the emotional part, you crazy foreigner.

tornpictures 11-08-2004 03:53 AM

Usurp Synapse are a hardcore band too, yet they sound way different to Indian Summer and (probably) Cro-Mags.

BuddyBigsby 11-08-2004 03:57 AM

Yeah, US are very, very far apart from Cro-Mags.

cbmartinez 11-08-2004 03:23 PM

In the thread titled "Electronica" in the Other Forum.
Jason Forrest is great, he has sort of a disco-electro thing going.
Singer from Hopesfall?

BuddyBigsby 11-08-2004 08:21 PM

No, that's Jay Forrester.

cbmartinez 11-08-2004 08:25 PM

Goddamnit, I suck.

NewKindofArmy03 11-08-2004 08:29 PM
It got just not good, more of a nu-metally sound.
oh. im listening to their cover of holiday in cambodia now, it sounds sort of nu-metally.

BuddyBigsby 11-08-2004 08:30 PM

Boysetsfire's cover of "Holiday In Cambodia" rules.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-08-2004 08:31 PM

I like their cover, I was referring more to the album Slither.
Boysetsfire's cover of "Holiday In Cambodia" rules.
That is a good cover.

cbmartinez 11-08-2004 08:32 PM

I need to get a BoySetsFire album.

All these kids keep talking about how amazing I am at two stepping and "moshing" after they saw me at a few local shows...weird.

BuddyBigsby 11-08-2004 08:35 PM

After the Eulogy. Classic.

Haha, my friends band played our school rally last year, and me and my friends went on the floor and moshed during their set. Instead of 'amazing' I got "what the fuck was that?" and people that were scared of us because they thought we were sadistic or psycho or something.

NewKindofArmy03 11-08-2004 08:41 PM

haha, on the mtv show battle for ozzfest the band members get to just chill at ozzfest one day and they're watching hatebreed and the one guy in the group starts dancing and everybody is like "i wonder if he has these mood swings a lot, he better not hit me". none of the bands on that show are any good anyway.

cbmartinez 11-08-2004 08:43 PM
After the Eulogy. Classic.
I know, I really wanna' get that one.

When I tried to mosh at the last show I went to (it was at a firehouse), this big (cop?) guy pulled me over and told me to stop.

BuddyBigsby 11-08-2004 08:43 PM

It's all nu-metal and nu-metal kids attempting metalcore.

But they were all like surfer kids who don't really care about music to begin with.

I scored some points with the ladies...seeing as how I'm the ONLY kid at Irvine High who is into the hardcore scene.

cbmartinez 11-08-2004 08:52 PM
Hey Shane, I saw in some thread you starting listening to BoysNightOut? How did that come about?
Actually, I bought Make Yourself Sick when it came out and was really into it...then forgot about it...then couldn't find it. But the other day I was looking through my sister's CD's and saw that she stole it and put it in the ole' stereo.

Such a good band.

cbmartinez 11-08-2004 08:55 PM

I want to pick up Make Yourself Sick. I have Broken Bones And Bloody Kisses EP and it's pretty horrible. I liked "I Got Punched In The Face For Sticking My Nose In Other People's Business."

cbmartinez 11-08-2004 09:00 PM

Yeah, I like the clapping part in "I Got Punched In The Face..."

"Drag my corpse to the city. I never got to visit. Promise don't let me miss it. Promise don't let me miss it."

obese_breasts 11-08-2004 09:00 PM

I really like them. Thanks to Shane.
